MuteMath’s new album Armistice releases today. I have a copy and have been listening to it endlessly. The CD has 12 tracks one of which is Spotlight that we all know and love. MuteMath continues to make music their way using various instruments and styles to give them a truly unique sound.
The Lost Year is a slower track with a beautiful mix of piano and strings. The lyrics are subtle yet meaningful. Clipping brings you the unique sound that is expected from MuteMath. Burden gives a distinctively rock feel, again showing that MuteMath doesn’t really fit into one genre. And lastly showing their truly unique style is Armistice, the title track, which combines guitar, brass and some very cool mixing.
I’ve been listening to the CD for the last two days and there isn’t a single track I find myself wanting to skip which is unusual on a CD. This comes from MuteMath’s incredible sound diversity, not one song sounds like another which makes for a truly enjoyable listen.
Other Songs I love: Pins and Needles, No Response and Goodbye
Now not only did I get a copy to listen to but I also have 3 copies to give away to 3 lucky Lexicon winners!!! Here’s what you need to do, simply leave a comment stating why you like MuteMath.
