Twilight Examiner Interviews Peter Facinelli

Amanda Bell, The Twilight Examiner, was able to sneak in a brief moment during TwiCon to speak with Peter Facinelli about Eclipse

“AB: What was your favorite part of Eclipse?

PF: I actually like that, in the book, a lot of the family members are talked about, and in the movie they’re in it a lot more. The books are all told from Bella’s perspective, so a lot of times, when she’s not in the scene and things are happening, you don’t actually get to see them, like the battle scene, for instance. In Eclipse when the whole family and the werewolves are fighting the newborn vampires, it’s talked about and through Edward you kind of get something, but in the movie you actually get to see it, you know, so I like that in the interpretations of the movies, it’s not always about Bella’s perspective. She isn’t always in the scene, and so that opens up the story a little bit. The Cullens are in it a lot more throughout.”

Rumor Control: Breaking Dawn Info

There is a website claiming it has Breaking Dawn casting info. What they have is guesswork. All they do is repeat previous information and hope it’s accurate the next time. They did it with New Moon by initially attaching Lana Veenker’s name to it when she wasn’t attached to New Moon as she was to Twilight.  They then hurry up and make revisions when someone corrects them.

Now they are making assumptions with Breaking Dawn casting based on old interview comments made by Stephenie Meyer and the fact that there’s a Breaking Dawn tab on the World of Twilight website.

Their description is copied word for word from Wikipedia with no citation given.

And we’re sure that what’s wrong with this Breaking Dawn cast list of principal actors should be immediately obvious given what happens at the end of Eclipse.

In the latest marketing venture, we now have an entire line of Twilight cosmetics. It features items in both a Luna and Volturi line. There site doesn’t officially open until August 17th, but you can see a display of flash photos that hint as to the product line.

Various Rachelle Projects

Here’s a summary of things we have received for Rachelle. Here it is  in one spot so people can find what they are looking for easily. The only thing we have not posted are online petitions (we never have in three years), because online petitions don’t work. No one takes them seriously because it’s too easy to sign them multiple times. If you want to get a petition going you have to do it the old fashioned way with real signatures. Don’t take our word for, see info on the Snopes site.

Reality TV Meets Twilight

There is a long convoluted tale here a German reality TV show gone bust, promises of a movie career, and Jackson Rathbone coming in like a white knight at the end. The Parents Examiner Kim Sherman makes sense of it all here. You probably want to read the article first because otherwise the video is just more confusing.

The Bella Cullen Project Debuts Music Video

The Bella Cullen Project has just come out with their first ever music video produced by MockTurtle Productions that debuted at TwiCon. The band also was interviewed by Larry Carrol of MTV about it.

“MTV: Tell us about the new album.

Chandler: It’s a lot darker, just like the later books. Well, I wouldn’t say dark — maybe more meaningful.

Tori: Meaningful, like, deeper.

Chandler: Less campy.

Tori: And we have a clock theme that runs throughout, which is why we call it Tick, Tick, Tick, because [the “Twilight” series] is so much about time, and it’s so much about running out of time. We played off that and wrote a bunch of songs that involved that, and we didn’t really realize it until we’re like, “Oh, wait, that’s the theme!”

Chandler: So the face of the CD is actually a clock with little numbers on it.

Tori: And we have 12 tracks.”
