100 Monkeys Add Dallas Autograph Signing

This just in from 100 Monkeys management:

“If you can send something out to let your readers
know that we’ve added an autograph signing to
tonight’s concert at the Palladium with Jackson and
the band.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $19.99 and everyone
that comes to the show gets a free CD.  For people
that are at the convention, tickets are available at
the 100 Monkeys Merhcandise area or online at
https://100monkeys.ticketleap.com

If people have tickets to the ball, they can come to
the Palladium to get their autograph before the show
and then head to the ball.  Two bands are opening up
for them, so they won’t go on stage until 10:30.”

Day 2 TwiCon: Blogger Maggie Checks In

Maggie, one of our favorite bloggers who worked on the first Twilight movie, is back with her summary of TwiCon Day 2. Maggie was the person along with her committee who got all the speakers today from the fanfic writers to the music industry people.

Maggie is pictured far right along with Dano from the Lexicon, and Kassie & Kallie from Twilight Series Theories.

Maggie writes:

“TwiCon Day Two: Oh girl… so this was my big day. For some reason, the organizers of TwiCon decided to put ALL of the academic programing and panels on the same day. There was simply too much going on. Granted I approved what I set forward, but of course I didn’t realize there’d be a massive line for Christian Serratos’s autograph and tickets for the 100 Monkeys concert, plus insanely popular informal programming sessions like Alice’s Makeover Room, and Jasper’s Relaxation Room, so it was manic.!”

It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Stephenie Meyer!

Stephenie Meyer has always said just how much she likes comic book superheroes like the X-men. Well, now she gets to be a bit of a comic book hero herself.

“Bluewater Productions, which has been churning out one political biography after another, is now turning its attention to Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.

The comic will be released in October under the company’s “Female Force” banner, which has been home to biographies on such public figures as Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin and Princess Diana.

“We chose Stephenie Meyer to be one of the subjects for Female Force because her voice is one for a new generation,” Bluewater Publisher Darren G. Davis tells Diamond’s PreviewsWorld. “Now people will find out the history of how she created this series, as well as her life story.”

When Is A Nude Scene Not A Nude Scene?

Today we watched and shook our heads as various media outlets picked up on the Jamie Campbell Bower interview with Larry Carroll on MTV and Jamie’s dry British humor went right up and over their heads.  We got the joke straight off, and even indicated that in our initial write up.

Alas other media outlets picked up on the MTV story and took it literally. In fact one of them went so far as to say “perhaps this is why the film is getting a PG-13 rating”…(um, we’re pretty sure if there was a full frontal threesome in a Roman Bathhouse it would at the very least have been an R or NC-17) It’s been spiraling into the more absurd ever since.

Anyway, because more and more media outlets are now picking up on these misinterpretations of the MTV story, this has prompted Christ Weitz to write the following statement:

“Dear all,

I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the
Volturi are not naked! Jamie (Campbell-Bower) has what you might call a
dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’s
such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the
look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as in
the book! — fully clothed.

best,
Chris Weitz

The World of Twilight

So Summit has just debuted a whole new angle on their twilight website called The World of Twilight. There’s so much on it, it’s hard to know where to start describing.

Probably the most shocking item is a Breaking Dawn coming soon section. This is the first time in any official capacity we have seen Summit put the words Breaking Dawn on anything.
