Kings Of Leon: Officially NOT on New Moon Soundtrack

It looks like the Kings of Leon will not be on the New Moon Soundtrack, at least according to a quot from teh band that appears in Billboard.

“Kings of Leon are pondering the release of another single for “Only By Night” — Followill is thumping for “Notion” — but will not, as rumored, be contributing anything to the soundtrack for “New Moon,” the second film in the “Twilight” series.”

Amanda Bell, The Twilight Examiner runs down the rest of the story for you here.

So since KOL is now out, what band do you want to see most on the New Moon soundtrack?

Dustin Milligan: Praises Kristen Stewart While Talking Twilight Woes

Forks Documentary

MTV managed to interview the folks who are making a Forks documentary.  Alphie and Pel, Lori and Laura, were interviewed by the documentary makers back in June when they attended the Summer School in Forks Symposium. No idea if we’ll make the final cut, or end up on the cutting room floor, but we are looking forward to seeing the documentary when it is completed. Check out the video below and see the interview on MTV.

MTV: Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart’s New Moon Chemistry

MTV had the opportunity to interview Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart on how the dynamic of their relationship changes in New Moon.

MTV: Kristen, in your opinion, how is the relationship between Bella and Jacob in “New Moon” different than the one between Edward and Bella in “Twilight”?

Kristen Stewart: It’s such a different relationship; it’s like entirely original.

MTV: It seems much more playful.

Stewart: Yeah, exactly. They’re light; they actually have fun with each other. Edward and Bella are always so strange, you know?

Taylor Lautner: It’s always so tense.

Stewart: And only he can bring her out of that rut. Like, she literally is going to die; she’s going to stop eating and be done. And the only thing that brings her out of it is this lightness [Jacob] brings.

Cam Gigandet Snags Another Vampire Role

According to ET:

“Stephen Moyer of HBO’s “True Blood” and Cam Gigandet of ‘Twilight’ have taken on roles in the thriller movie ‘Priest’ but this time Moyer plays the mortal, Variety reports.

Based on the TokyoPop comic book, the movie is set in a turbulent time period, ravaged by wars between vampires and humans. The film follows a priest (Paul Bettany) who rebels against the church to avenge a group of murderous vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Gigandet’s character helps the priest because he is in love with his niece, while Moyer plays the brother of the clergyman.”

New Shooting Problem: The Plane, The Plane!

Since they are shooting Eclipse in the summer and not in the winter, it looks like David Slade has not, as of yet, had to contend with the weather issues that his predecessors did. You know, things like unexpected downpours, gale force winds, and hail…all on the same day.

Have no fear, he’s discovering another local Vancouver problem: air traffic. We witnessed this ourslef during our set visit where Chris Weitz would set up a shot and then they’d have to wait for the planes.

David recently tweeted the following:

Shot with Rob and Kristen today, both gave great performances. Lots of frustrating noisy planes overhead but beautiful scene regardless.”

Wrapped first week, probably most challenging week of our shoot. Last night Xavier Samuels delivered as astonish power performance, all good.”

Don’t worry about David. He’s found some time to relax. He attended a Dead Weather (if that name isn’t ironic in light of where he’s shootin gwe don’t know what is) concert.

Chance to Meet Jackson Rathbone and 100 Monkeys

We just heard the following from the 100 Monkey’s publicity team:

“We’re going to be picking two lucky fans from our September 12th Vancouver show for a private meet & greet with Jackson and the band.”

So if you are going to be in Vancouver that weekend buy your tickets for the show now before it sells out!

The show is at The Rickshaw Theater, and is a class above the local pubs the band played in last time they had a Vancouver gig (not that there’s anything wrong with a pub band location). The Rickshaw has a great stage and a relatively new sound system so it should be a great show.

The warm up band is Thee Manipulators and the tickets are $20.00. You can purchase your tickets right here.

The new Create Control Live Sessions album is now available at 100MonkeysMusic.com in the Monkey Mart.

It’s also available in MP3 format for you iPod & player junkies
