There are two recent interviews where Kristen Stewart’s co-star, Scout Taylor-Compton, in Runaways talks about working with her. It was just announced today that Runaways will debut at Sundance next year.
The first is from Popstar:
“Photographers and fans were all over the place during the shoot because of Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning and the whole Twilight phenomenon. Kristen has said she was stunned by how Twilight changed The Game for her. Would you ever want to be that famous that quickly? And did you discuss it at all with Kristen?
Kristen and I actually talked about that. She didn’t see that coming. She never thought it would be like that. It all happened so fast, so it was shocking and it makes it hard to get into the mold of things. One second you’re walking down the street and you’re fine, and the next moment you’re walking down that same street and everyone knows who you are. That’s hard. It’s an uncomfortable thing. You have to get used to it, but that takes time. (People ask if she’d want that to be in Stewart’s position) and it’s an awful, awful question. Do I want it? I don’t necessarily want that. What I want is for my work to be recognized and for people to enjoy my work. And I want more work. That’s honestly all I want.”

The next is from IESB:
“Q: What music are you into personally?
Scout: I like Alkaline Trio. I love soft rock, hard rock and old rock. I love Blondie. Rob actually gave me a couple of Blondie records. I like Madonna. On The Runaways set, my best friend Michael and I were obsessed with Miley Cyrus’, “Party in the USA.” It’s good dance stuff. Me, Kristen, Dakota and my best friend were obsessed with that song. That’s my little downfall. But, I mostly listen to rock.
