Peter Facinelli: How I Got Started

Peter Facinelli talks to The Wrap about how he got started in the entertainment business and unlikely sources he credits with his success.

“For a whole year I was going up on stuff and I was probably really terrible. Every time I walked out of the room, I had this great high, like I was doing what I wanted to be doing, and I was really excited that I was able to go out on things. I was getting some really crappy feedback, but for some reason, my agent stuck with me.

I was horrible. They were saying, “This kid can’t act, he’s terrible.” But you know, it was a great learning curve for me.

I think I had natural instincts, but I was also stiff as a board when I first started out. I also had a really thick New York accent at the time. I was like “My Cousin Vinny,” so that was very limiting, but you know, NYU knocked that right out of me.”

Jamie Campbell Bower: Doesn’t Like Watching Himself

Kristen Stewart Sounds Off in EW

“Asked about the endless rumors of her supposed off-screen romance with Pattinson, for instance, Stewart got nicely fired up. “I probably would’ve answered it if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it,” she said. “But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer. I know that people are really funny about ‘Well, you chose to be an actor, why don’t you just f—ing give your whole life away?! Can I have your firstborn child?’”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Harpers Bazaar

The famous duo spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about everything and anything. It’s a great read complete with photos from their cover shoot, a video about the shoot, and a list of things you might not know about the two stars.

When asked who is this more athletic, here is what they had to say about each other:

Kristen: “I’m definitely claiming that one. Rob can barely jump rope. I call him Flippy because when he does his stunt rehearsals, he flips around [makes a gesture like a penguin]. And, God, when he tries to run …”

Rob: “Kristen. You notice it in the film; she looks so much more athletic than I do. And I’m supposed to be the superhero.”

FearNet: Melissa Rosenberg Melissa Rosenberg on New Moon, Edward’s Proposal, and Breaking Dawn

Jen Yamato has this week’s Twilight special up on FearNet and it is well worth the read.  As usual Jen asks the questions that fans want to know!

In your script for Twilight, you wrote in a number of direct quotes from Stephenie Meyer’s book. Can we expect the same in New Moon and Eclipse?

There are definitely some quotes sprinkled throughout. In some cases I’m paraphrasing, but I do try to include as many as I can. It’s very important. It brings the flavor of the book into the movie, so I definitely try to.

Fans want to know: Did the proposal scene make it into New Moon?

The proposal comes into the end of New Moon, and that is the first proposal. Absolutely in Eclipse, the proposal when they’re on the bed, yes — to me, that was a quintessential scene from the book. When Edward gets on his knees, with his mother’s ring, and she says yes — that was one of the most romantic scenes that Stephenie wrote in all four books.”

Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed in Nylon

“We were just making a little independent film in Portland,” says Nikki Reed of the movie that changed her life.  “I don’t know what happened.”

What happened is that Twilight exploded from a book beloved by teenage girls to become one of the cultural phenomenons of a decade.

The film grossed nearly $400 worldwide and made tabloid staples of stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and, increasingly, the rest of the cast too.

Reed, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale, shakes her head increedulously:  “We’ve lived this entire year in shock.”

Julia Jones: Lime Life Interview Part 3

Lime Life wraps up their Julia Jones coverage this week with the third and final part of their interviews:

LimeLife: What’s it like when you first show up, are you just supposed to walk up and introduce yourself to your co-stars, or what was that experience like for you?

Julia Jones: Fortunately the cast is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I showed up on-set a couple days before I started working for some makeup tests. I think the first person I saw was Kristen [Stewart] and then Taylor [Lautner] and they both just introduced themselves. It was really easy.

LimeLife: We love hearing that! So the general atmosphere is very agreeable?

Julia Jones: It’s fun, actually! There are a lot of actors and a lot of crew members [on the set] so it can be chaotic at times, but when you’re not filming, more often than not you’re actually on-set as opposed to in your trailer. A lot just because the nature of your locations – the distance between where our trailers were and where we were actually filming was substantial, so it would take some time to get back and forth. So in between, if you had a couple shots where they didn’t need you, it just made more sense to stay around [the set]. There’s just a ton of people hanging around and talking and having fun while the people were filming just a few yards away.”
