Rachelle Lefevre To Attend Premiere?

The LA Times citing a report in Life and Style Magazine is reporting “a source” close to Rachelle has stated, “She worked so hard — she wouldn’t miss it for the world.…She’s looking forward to reuniting with her ‘New Moon’ cast mates.”

If you then go over to the Life and Style site it states, “But Rachelle’s contract for New Moon included tickets to the premiere for her and her family — and she plans to use them. “It’s always been her decision whether to go,” says the insider. “And Rachelle’s decided she wants to.”

Life and Style has had a mixed bag over the past year of getting things dead on to what might be termed out of context items implications. So, given that, judge for yourself.

Regardless, unless Rachelle tweets something earlier, we’ll all know on premiere day.

The Volvo: Mixed Reaction

Even since it came out that Edward is not driving a light colored, silver, Volvo sports car in New Moon and Eclipse there’s been a passionate reaction among fans. It’s ranged from:

“Personally fine with the drama of “dark” grey versus “silver”; not a HUGE delimma in terms of continuity controversy. Afterall no one made a stink over Rosalie driving a Benz in the movie instead of the ostentacious BMW Edward and Bella discuss in the book. I’d actually welcome the change if they would ditch the stupid girly shortened S40 with the fin, and put Edward in a masculine Volvo like the S60 or new S80; turbo of course. Stephenie even provided pictures of her Cullens’ cars on her website years ago for her fans, why couldn’t they simply utilize her imput. Truly a small detail in the scheme of things, I’m much more interested in the plot of the movie reverting to a truer version of the book than in Hardwicke’s version, so really this would be one change i could agree with.”

“just saw the trailer. and it’s definitely not the same volvo as in twilight. this one is big and a LOT darker (i’d say it’s black, but hey, if the official term is dark grey..anyway no where near “shiny silver”)…so strange that they changed cars! I’m not nearly as upset about the change in color as i’m about the change in style though..cos this new volvo seriously just doesn’t look like anything edward would drive. it’s the same one my mom has, so i kinda put the middle-aged-suburbian-woman tag on it.”

So, check out the Ad Week article (the makes no difference to me people are probably on this wavelength)  on the issue and the reaction over at Jezebel magazine (the you killed the Batmobile people are probably on this wavelength) from an advertising pro. TY to Beth for pointing it out.

Regardless of where you stand on the movie issue, if you want the chance of winning a brand new car check it out here at What Edward Drives.

Final Bella Cullen Project Video

The Band recently announced that they are moving on to new projects. Chandler is working on a solo project (Her Music MySpace is here.) and Tori is writing some songs. Ally is moving on tho other things.

In talking to MTV about the group and and breaking up, Chandler said to MTV, “It’s just because it’s been such a huge part of our lives so far. All of our teenage years, until now, have been circled around this fandom and all the people. Of course, we’re going to miss all the people we’ve met at conventions, and all of our fans that have been so supportive. It’s hard to let go of something that has been such an important part of your life for years.”

See the rest on MTV.

Best wishes to Chandler, Ally, and Tori to follow their dreams and to be successful and happy wherever their paths lead.

Chris Weitz talks New Moon, Eclipse, and Fans

MTV has a great interveiw with New Moon Director Chris Weitz. Below is a small excerpt besure to check out teh article in its entire at MTV.com

“As a fan and a filmmaker, I’m excited to see finished stuff from ‘Eclipse’ rather than anything in progress,” Weitz said. “When you see works in progress, there’s always some guy standing in front of some big green curtain, and it’s all terribly disappointing. You really want to see the good stuff once it’s all finished.”

The article has some great information on how Chris Weitz and David Slade transitioned bewtweened the two films.  The best quote from the interview  “[I] was reading the book and really trying to pay attention to what I thought the devoted reader would want out of the film,” he said. “And I thought, ‘Well, they want something grand.’ “

So is it true? Do Twilight fans want something grand to come from New Moon?? I know silly question.

Vanity Fair Interviews Kellan Lutz

Vanity Fair is continuing their Twilight cast interviews. They last interviewed Peter Facinelli and now it’s on to Kellan Lutz with some interruption by Jackson Rathbone.

“Kellan discussed the cast’s love of reading, what’ll make it on the blooper reel, and his part in the upcoming remake of horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street.

You’re currently on a break. What do you usually love to do on your downtime?

I love to read. I have a Kindle, and it’s nice to be able to download books that people refer. Rob[ert Pattinson] reads all of the time and he refers so many great books, Jackson [Rathbone], as well, and Kristen [Stewart]. It’s nice to just download books because we have so much downtime. I have close to eight hours a day to read. I finish so many books it’s amazing. I’m also doing Rosetta Stone, learning some French.”

Hot Topic: Times Square Preliminary Details

The Trinty Blog did a little investigation and has the following photos and information from their trip.

“Alright, here’s the scoop we got from a Toys R Us employee who just so happened to be a total TwiHard herself (made it easier to pry information out of her!):

– This exclusive Hot Topic/New Moon “boutique” is not currently open to the public. It is believed to be opening this weekend, possibly as early as tomorrow. The Volturi chairs still need to be hung and they haven’t finished stocking the shelves and putting out all the merch (yes, there is MORE than what you see!).

– The dirtbikes and Volturi chairs are OFFICIAL from the New Moon set in Vancouver – they are inaccessible to the public. Basically, they are a “look don’t touch” type of deal. As mentioned above, the Volturi chairs will be hung up high out of reach of the public.

– This exclusive Hot Topic/New Moon “boutique” will run through December – which means you better get there ASAP!”

See more on the Trinity blog and realize that Hot Topic/Toys R Us Still have details to iron out here. There absolutely will be an event in Times Square, just what is happening and what the procedure is,  is a bit unclear at present.
