Michael Sheen Talks New Moon on Press Junket

Both Collider and IESB reporters had a chance to speak with Michael Sheen about his multiple upcoming projects including New Moon.

First from Collider:

You mentioned your daughter. You’re quoted in the NY Post as saying she was a little annoyed when you took the part.

Michael Sheen: Right, well, I think she felt a whole combination of emotions. I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the fact that I was going to be in it. I think she was really excited, but, at the same time, I remember what this was like when I was ten, eleven. If there was something I was really into, the last thing I wanted was for my mom and dad to be into it as well. That’s just annoying. So she was very excited and she cried when I first told her about it. I think it was just her fantasy/imaginative world suddenly colliding with her reality. She didn’t know how she felt about it. She punched me I remember and kicked me. I think that was her sort of frustration with me. In fact it was her mother who said, “Is it because that’s your thing and now daddy’s getting in on it?” And she said, “Yes.” So it was her (as usual) very perceptive mother who got that. But then, very quickly, she made peace with that and then she was just very excited about going to the premiere.”

Next from IESB:

Q: Where do you start, when you’re doing a literary adaptation, like with New Moon or Alice in Wonderland?

“…That was the same for New Moon. Weirdly, I found myself on the set and I suddenly heard the voice of the Blue Meanie in Yellow Submarine. There’s a thing that Stephenie writes in the book that his voice was like feathers, and just suddenly I heard this voice that really disturbed me when I was a kid. It was very gentle and soft, but there was something very scary about it. So, for little things like that, you never know where it’s going to come from.”

Phenomenal New Moon Behind the Scenes Pictures

According to the LA Times Blacklot, photographer “David Strick was on the set about 15-20 minutes outside of Vancouver as director Chris Weitz and the cast and crew shot scenes late at night, in a very chilly Capitano Park Forest, until at least 4 a.m.”

There are nearly 40 photos, that’s right 40,  in all that are just stunning. Guess your best if they are flashbacks, outtakes, or dream sequences…or maybe all three, as Bella’s bed seems to be in the forest.  Which is your favorite?

TY to ME for the heads up.

Muse Reworks “I Belong to You” for New Moon Soundtrack

According to MTV, Muse frontman, Matthew Bellamy, confirmed exactly how Muse will take part in the New Moon soundtrack:

“He [Chris Weitz] wants a rendition of that [I Belong to You], but the only thing with the new film is they want the songs to be exclusive to the film. So he’s asking if I mind doing, or if we mind doing an alternative version of it.”

Bellamy said the band is up to the challenge. “I think it’s all right. … If it was one of the main tracks on [our] album, I would never do it,” he said. “But it’s actually one of the weirder tracks on the album … one of the ‘can’t believe we got away with it’ kind of tracks. I think it might be worth giving it a go [because] it’s a track that might not get played live very often … so it might give that track some life that it wouldn’t have otherwise.”

Jackson Rathbone’s New Look at the 100 Monkeys Show

Jackson Rathbone was sporting a 1950’s pompadour and a mustache at the 100 Monkeys’ show at Neptoon Records this past weekend.

According to RadarOnline:

One thing that really stands out about the Twilight cast is that they’re always supporting each other, especially if their castmate is in a band. Jackson Rathbone’s 100 Monkeys has been playing in Vancouver, and Saturday night his on-screen love Ashley Greene and new addition to the series Xavier Samuel rocked out at the show.”

Check out the rest of the article here. What do you think of Jackson’s look? We thought it was a bit of The Stray Cats meet Bob Stencil.

Kellan Lutz: The Double-edged Sword of Fame

Kellan Lutz talked to Kim Sherman, the Parent’s Examiner, about what it has been like living under the media microscope for the past year.

“Everyone’s so loving and supporting- there’s no haters. There’s so many Twilight fans that have given me presents- gummy bears or chew toys for my dog. It’s so humbling; people wanting to have a picture with me or wanting me to sign something. It’s so endearing.

But when we’re here working 12, 14, 16 hour days, on our off days we just want to be a normal human being and go get a bite to eat or go play pool and be normal. We just want to get out of our hotel rooms or apartments, but we can’t, and that’s a tough thing. And we don’t always want to have to look our best. I just love dressing comfy to go out, but we can’t because there’s always photographers there.”

See the full Kellan details on Parent’s Examiner. Kim promises a part II tomorrow.

Charlie Bewley: Taking a Bite Out of The Fandom

This past weekend, Charlie Bewley was one the celebrities at a UK Twilight Prom.

My Bliss was able to spend some time backstage with Charlie, and has a video interview.

SNL in Robert Pattinson’s Future

Fans have been clamoring for well over a year for Robert Pattinson to host Saturday Night Live. Last night at the Emmy Awards Seth Meyers went on the record:

We know you’re kicking off the season with Megan Fox, but how about getting Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson on to host?
Seth Meyers: We would love to get Robert Pattinson. How dare you tell me he’s the hot guy from Twilight, like I don’t already know!

Seth Meyers, closet Twilight, or maybe just Rob Pattinson fan. We love it! So the powers that be at SNL would be into Rob hosting?
S.M.:
Yes, absolutely.

Think of all the ridiculous skits you could do with him. The possibilities are endless! That hair…
S.M.:
We’re actually hoping if [Rob’s] not available, at least his hair will come by and host.”

There was also a fair amount of Tweeting done by other entertainment reporters yesterday that suggest the same thing. So who knows, SNL might actually become a reality.
