Kristen Stewart Talks to The UK Times

Kristen Stewart gave a frank interview to the Times Online talking about Twilight, Adventureland and her career.

“I think she has a much bigger rack than I have.” Kristen Stewart is pondering her Twilight action figure — the little plastic doll that represents Bella, her character in the film franchise — while checking the proportions of the bust. “I also think she looks much older than me,” she adds, before setting the figure aside. I pick it up and, on closer inspection, the doll does look a little older than its real-life progenitor (as to the “rack”, closer inspection would be inappropriate). “It’s strange,” continues the 19-year-old actress, “but people often think I’m a little bit older than I really am. A French journalist asked me earlier on how my teenage years had affected my later life. I’m still in my teens.” She smiles. “Really, even if I was older, how could my teenage years not have shaped my life? I don’t know how to answer that.”

Stephenie Meyer Day:Pulling Out All The Stops

According to both the Peninsula Daily News (Port Angeles paper) and The Forks Forum (The Forks paper) they are really pulling out all the stops for Stephenie Meyer Day this year.  Frankly they aren’t sure how many people to expect since this is a record summer with the visitors quadrupling almost tripling what they had been: 18,000 in summer 2008 to 58,000 in summer 2009. Also of note is that it’s the driest summer in about 10 years. They are rationing water, yes you read that correctly, Forks is rationing water. The good news is if you are visiting this coming weekend, it’s bright and sunny!

They have taken some extra precautions like adding an officer on a bike patrol to assist with safe street crossing. The famous forks sign was also moved from the hill to ground level, so people no longer have to climb to get a picture next to it.

The Forks Forum has a revised schedule of events on this page (scroll down there is a TON of information) ranging from Mitch Hansen Band and Twilight Music Girls concerts, scavenger hunts, Forks High School tours, a preview of the Forks documentary…you name it.

Our inbox is filled with people asking us about different places in Forks. We’ve been to Forks twice, and we thought we’d just give a shout out to a couple of our favorite places to shop and to eat. We haven’t tried everything(so if we don’t mention it, it’s not that it’s bad, just that we haven’t been there), but here’s a shout out to what we tried and give a thumbs up to:

Forks Guide: Written by Chris Cook, the editor of the local paper. This has it all, and it’s filled with local stories as well.

Moca Motion The coffee is to die for. Don’t let the shack in the parking lot next to The Inn Place put you off. The coffee is to die for and the prices can’t be beat.

The Inn Place: A local coffee shop where we ate breakfast every day. Home cooked meals at fabulous prices. The breakfast could have you filled up until dinner easily.

Dazzled By Twilight: The have the most comprehensive Twilight merchandise that we have ever seen in one place, and that is saying something. They also do excellent driving tours.

Leppell’s Flowers: If you are into scrap booking go here. They have fantastic Twilight scrapbook supplies and unique Twilight crafts made by locals.

Forks Outfitters: Whether you have the munchies or you need a pair of rain boots. This is where you need to be. They also sell really warm hoodies with a Forks design that are so cuddly and comfortable.

Cozy River House I & II: Aside from being the only place in town that can claim “Stephenie Meyer Slept Here” these houses on the banks of the Sol Duc River are what they say they are, “cozy”. Each one sleeps at least 10 people. It is a super option if a bunch of friends are looking to pitch in.

The Forks Motel: The only place in Forks with a swimming pool, not that we used it. On June 30th it never got above 60 degrees, you’d have to be some kind of desperate to go swimming in 60 degree weather! However, clean rooms with comfy beds and great TV reception. Plus the Inn Place is across to street, what more could you want?

Sully’s Drive In: A classic burger place that looks like something out of Back to the Future. You want a burger, this is your place. The vampire lemonade drink is pretty good.

Plaza Jalisco: Who knew that the best Mexican we’ve had in ages would be in Forks.  Two words: carne asada.

Three Rivers Resort Food service: On the road to La Push on the right side of the road there is this little hole-in-the-wall place where you can get gas, supplies, and food. They always have a banner sponsored by Pepsi that says something about no vampires allowed. The place has maybe 10 tables and has terrific fresh fried fish.

The Forks Visitors Center: Get a map here, take a picture with Bella’s truck, and don’t miss the hiking trail out back!

Lastly shout out to our favorite people in Forks!

Kevin Rupprecht, principal of Forks HS who has a great sense of humor

Mike Powell, police chief of Forks who is a great cook

Chris Cook, editor of the Forks Forum who keeps us updated on Forks happenings

Rianilee Belles, Dazzled by Twilight who keeps us updated on Forks happenings that are Twilight related.

Tickets to New Moon Going Fast

Sources like Fandango are pre-selling New Moon tickets for midnight relese tickets.  As we previously reported, as various chains, like Carmike, come online and enter their ticket status and the sales begin. Don’t worry, more chains will be added. Your best shot is to keep monitoring Fandango to see when the theater by you comes online .

Thing are also hot overseas. The Australian newspaper Herald Sun is reporting that the movie is already sold out in various theaters there.

“Both Village and Hoyts cinemas will premiere New Moon at 12.01am on Thursday, November 19.

The screenings will be a double-header, with the first Twilight film being shown earlier on the Wednesday night.

Tickets for Village Cinemas’ midnight screenings went on sale on August 28 and many of the chain’s 15 participating locations across Victoria have sold out.”

We know we will be watching at midnight, and the next day, and the next day… WHat will you be doing?

Twilight Twitter September Update

The Twilight cast is busy tweeting away as usual. Here are some highlights:

David Slade has decided to treat us to more photographs. He does dome generic scenery, an out of focus look at the director of photography (hahaha) ,and this shot of  “Duke, the B camera operator.” David, or whoever is doing his twit pics, has some serious photographic talent.

Anna Kendrick is going to be at the Toronto film festival next week. So is fellow cast mate Xavier Samuel.

Peter Facinelli is trying to raise awareness for Alex’s Lemonade stand, a group that fights childhood cancer. If you follow Alex’s Lemonade Stand, they get money for followers.  You can also put a nifty leonade slogan on your avatar to lend support.

Peter has also promised that when he reaches 1 million followers that he will have Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson do a guest tweet.

There are also some newbies or previous unknowns to Twitter. Please add them!

Kiowa Gordon who plays Embry. Unfortunately Kiowa is currently following a couple of fake accounts, goes to show that celebrities can be fooled.

Boo Boo Stewart who plays Seth. Actually to be fair, it’s his mom’s account. She tweets, or supervises the tweets, for all the kids in their performing family.

Cameron Bright, who plays Alec. Cameron has had a twitter for awhile but unfortunately some fakes came along and got more attention. Anyway, after a lovely conversation with Cameron’s mother, Anne, we got to the bottom of it. The real Cameron Bright account is CamBright. He hopes to get CameronBright once the fake (among 5 fakes and counting) is deleted.

Of note this month is a fake that got listed on Dakota Fanning’s IMDB page(since removed). Dakotaafanning isn’t the real Dakota Fanning, nor is the MySpace, orFacebook that the account cites actually the real Dakota. For starters, the real Dakota would be smart enough to know that “Volturi” is not Jane’s last name, wouldn’t post leaked photos as it would be a violation of her contract, and would never state a Breaking Dawn filming date. Several other things also give her away.

Also the following cast members have said repeatedly that they don’t have a Twitter: Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Robert Pattinson.

___________________________________________________________

So this brings us to our semi-monthly or so Twitter round up. Here’s the run down of who has a real Twitter and who doesn’t.

Here are a listing of the real Twitters

The Twitters supposedly run by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed are all fakes. Ways to tell: mislabeling of photos stating where & when the pics were taken, Tweeting while clearly performing , all created around the same date, claiming they are posting personal photos when in reality are actually recycled paparazzi shots, official sites of actors don’t list a Twitter, etc.

Twilight Tattoos On the Rise

The Aneheim Examiner checks out the latest body art craze: Twilight tattoos.

“Got ink? Twilight Movie Tattoos are the latest rage prior to the Twilight Saga New Moon Movie. A Robert Pattinson Face. Twilight symbols and words spoken by characters to display devote loyalty to this Movie Series. Tattoo parlors around the Los Angeles area have indicated Twilight is one of the top five themes being inked in preparation for the Twilight Movie New Moon…

Now the twilight tattoos aren’t going on people who usually wear tattoos (and we all know someone who wears a tattoo because it fits their personality.) The ink is being put on Twilight fans who are getting a tattoo for the first time to show their loyalty to the movies. Plus the cost of these cuties are anywhere from $70 for an inch to the hundreds for a full color ink spread.”

Check out the full story here. So, do you have a Twilight tattoo?

The date does seem to make sense in that it parallels exactly the timing of last year’s premiere.  It also would be at the same location. Interesting side fact is that the premiere was initially booked at the famous Mann operated Grauman’s Chinese Theater, and then it was moved to the Westwood properties, so these things do change.

There is no word as to premieres in other countries. Last year there were premieres in both London and Tokyo.

As the Mann website states, they do not sell/give out tickets to premieres. That goes through the studio. Premiere tickets are usually only given to those directly involved with the film, their staff, and those with entertainment industry connections. So please do not call the theater looking for tickets.

Last year fans were able to line the fringes of the red carpet. They camped out for about three days to do this. we don’t know whether that will be allowed again.  Also, camping on street is subject to local ordinance. No word on how the local governing agencies are going to be about people camping out.

Edward and Jacob Get Lost With Them in Corn

According to Utah’s Desert News, Black Island Farms has added a New Moon feature to their corn maze this year.

Black Island Farms, according to their website:

“Our award winning farm has been recognized for our quality in produce and for cooperating with the Conservation Society.

Our event objective is … to keep the dream of the ‘American Farm’ alive, sustain its rich heritage and to provide an alternate, entrepreneurial financial resource.

Our goals are …to provide entertainment to the general public, to promote awareness of agriculture, and to create an environment in which one can have fun while accepting the various challenges the maze has to offer.

We have joined the new concept of argi-tainment, agriculture and entertainment. The result is a means of bringing the two worlds together to get families off the couch and into the corn. This recurring seasonal event will trigger expectation, which will foster return visits year after year. Each visit unveils new and exciting challenges that will enthrall children, bond families, and boost employees’ moral while delivering the message of the American farm.”

Well, they have now added Team Edward and Team Jacob to their collection.  The Desert News captured aerial photos of the group’s latest venture.

According to Desert News, “Aerial photos show that two separate “Twilight”-themed maze patterns at Black Island Farms, 3178 S. 3000 West, have already been cut into the corn — a “Team Jacob” and a “Team Edward.” (In the movie, Bella can choose Edward or Jacob as her boyfriend.) The lettering “New moon 11-20-09″ is also a part of the maze.”
