According to the press release from Arbor Live:
“Tinsel Korey left her vampire and werewolf friends behind for one night so that she could let her songstress within out.
Arbor Live, a comedy and music show that features the hottest emerging talent from around the globe, invited Korey to perform two songs on the show while the crew was on location in Los Angeles. The episode was filmed on Jan. 15th and the previews of Korey’s stirring performances of her self-penned songs, “Rainy City” and “Letter”, hit the internet over the weekend and stirred up a lot of excitement among Twilight Saga fans worldwide.
“I’m so glad I got to be a part of Arbor Live and jam with Stevie Salas and Marcos Curiel (POD) on my song,” said Korey. “It was such an amazing experience. Working with Stevie is always a lot of fun!”
Korey, who plays Emily in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, has been performing since she was a child, recording songs for her grandfather and writing her own heartfelt compositions. She was very honoured to be a part of the 2008 National Aboriginal Achievement Awards, where she got to share the stage with Arbor Records recording artist Derek Miller, Jason Burnstick, and Jana just to name a few. Korey’s debut album is set for a 2010 release.
Brandon Friesen, producer of Arbor Live as well as a Grammy nominated, multi-Juno Award (Canada’s Grammy awards) winning music producer, raved about Korey’s performance. “Tinsel is a fabulous talent and we really enjoyed having her on our L.A, set,” said Friesen. “We’re thankful to all our great friends that showed up to our four day shoot and contributed their talents including Marcos Cureil, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe), Mother Mother, State Radio, Fishbone, Bernard Fowler, Bastard Fairies, Thomas Nicholas Band (American Pie) and many others. Our second season of Arbor Live is definitely one that you will not want to miss.”
Tinsel full performances will air on the second season of Arbor Live, which premieres September 2010. Arbor Live airs every Saturday and Sunday night on APTN (check local listings for time) and is distributed by Tricon. ”
Tinsel has also been working with Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene on the Teens for Jeans campaign’s Haiti Relief efforts.
