People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive 25 Anniversary Issue

This year Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz and Alex Meraz all made the cut and are featured in People’s 25th Anniversary Sexiest Man Alive issue. The issue is on newsstands this Friday.

You can check out a preview photo of Kellan here (we are not posting as it is a People exclusive and they have requested that we not do that)

The description reads, “This former model knows how to work every camera angle, from showing off his otherworldly body in Twilight to heating up underwear sales as Calvin Klein’s spokesmodel. The secret to the 25-year-old’s sexy six-pack? “I cut back on my candy intake, swim a lot and try to drink as much water as I can,” says Lutz. “That’s the best way to cut up.”

Alex Meraz also talked about his appearance on his Twitter account.

GQ Men of the Year Best Dressed Poll

The Huffington Post has a poll up about the GQ Best Dressed Men of the Year:

“Guys’ style was on trial in L.A. on Wednesday night as dudes took the red carpet for the 15th annual “GQ Men of the Year” party. Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz and James Franco all suited up — but there was also a bevy of ladies there to accompany them, including Rosario Dawson in florals and Jaime King in metallics.”

Vote for Taylor and Kellan on the Huffington Post.

Maggie Grace Featured in December Glamour

Maggie Grace is in the December issue on Glamour, which is now on news stands. A very brief preview is online.

“Enter Maggie Grace, whose gorge fashion spread in the December issue of Glamour shows the 27-year-old blond beauty modeling the sweetest dresses you ever did see. If you don’t recognize her from her days as Shannon on Lost, you’ll be hearing from her soon: Maggie’s just landed the role of Irina, vegetarian vampire and cousin of Edward Cullen in Breaking Dawn, the final installment of the Twilight Saga.

Maggie’s style has come a long way from her fashion roots (“that awful center-zig-zag-part hairstyle and pineapple-yellow culottes,” she admits on page 269): she’s now front row at New York Fashion Week and burgeoning trendsetter (especially once she hits all those Twilight red carpets! Here, she shows off the best fall florals and a few high-voltage accessories to match, while we supply the handy style tips.”

CNN: Chaske Spencer the Vampires of Washington DC

Chaske Spencer was on CNN’s Parker Spitzer, news commentary show featuring two anchors each with different political perspectives(the show has been taking a beating in the ratings and via the critics). They have different people on each week to to talk about a variety of issues often from the common citizen’s point of view. Chaske was addressing the overall feeling corruption in politics that spans both major parties.

We normally don’t do political stuff around here except for encouraging people to vote no matter what their political leanings. Since Chaske was on the program, and he’s not speaking about a specific political party, we are covering it. For the personal sanity of our mods, can we request that the comments don’t turn into referendum on either party. When it comes to political corruption, there are more than enough morons in every party to go around.

Eastern Conference Champions With New Album in December 7

This press release in from ECC:

“Things have been looking up for Eastern Conference Champions, and they keep getting better. After parting ways with their major label, ECC embraced their new-found independence and got back to work. The trio, consisting of Joshua Ostrander, Greg Lyons and Melissa Dougherty, recently made waves when they were tapped to contribute an exclusive song for the third installment of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The unsigned act was chosen from more than 400 bands competing for the coveted soundtrack slot, and the resulting song, “A Million Miles An Hour,” is receiving rave reviews. ECC is busy working on their full-length record SPEAK-AHH, slated for release in Spring 2011.

ECC has broadened its scope and embellished its arrangements, arriving at a tough-to-pigeonhole sound that spans barbed-wire folk, funk-flavored rebukes and wall-of-guitar anthems. – BuzzBandsLA

To hold you over until their full length release next year, ECC has gone back into the studio and produced the beautifully intimate AKUSTIKS EP.

“When we started the project the idea was just to record acoustic versions of some of our songs for the fans to have, but it’s always more fun for us to write and record new stuff, so once we got into the studio we started fleshing out some new material as well.  Recording acoustic was something we’d never done before and we wanted the challenge.  It really ended up being a lot of fun, and hopefully listening to it will be the same.”
