Our friends over at Twilight Poison have updated their Twilight costume guide to reflect both New Moon and Eclipse. It’s a really in depth look at how to achieve the right look down to the details. They have also added a new section on how to achieve an actor’s look from a specific awards show.
Check out the character costume list here.
Check out their actor costume guide here complete with how to make your very own MTV Golden Popcorn prop!
They also have some terrific ideas on make-up and how to make yourself over in Photoshop as a vampire. As usual their tips are easy to follow and come with step-by-step instructions with illustrations so you know that you are on the right track!
While you are in full Halloween prep mode, don’t forget to do up your pumpkin Twilight style. You can download the stencils anywhere in the world, and since it is a download file and not a one shot paper item you can keep it for future projects. If you accidentally rip it, not worries, just print a new one.
So good luck shopping and carving this weekend!
Having seen the movie we would agree with Kristen’s assessment. It’s definitely rated R for language and the general situation, but it’s not a gratuitous “stripper movie” as some press made it out to be without them actually seeing any footage. The messages of finding self-respect and self-forgiveness are universal.
The Daemon’s book blog has noted that Twilight sales have fallen off:
“For the first time in over three years, none of the books in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga are on USA Today’s top 50 Best-Selling Books list. At least one or more of the four books had been on the list since July 12, 2007 (170 consecutive weeks).
Breaking Dawn fell from the top 50 to number 54, Twilight is at 172, New Moon is number 238, and Eclipse is 198.
Meyer’s publicist tells USA Today that they expect to see a spike in book sales when the Breaking Dawn movie hit theaters in December[Lexicon note: article error on the author’s part, possibly they meant the Eclipse DVD]. Plus, Meyer is releasing The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide in April, and that is sure to put her back on the bestseller list.

Three years is quite a solid run for any book to remain on a top 50 list. Most author’s would given their first-born just to make the list for a week. A quick glance at the list reveals 8 YA/middle school titles on the list. Suzanne Collins has three titles on the list. So the good news is that those books which are not recognized on other lists are still strong sellers.
What do you think, have the books reached their inevitable saturation point, or will new books and movies bring and upswing?
Last night was the debut of Liz Reaser’s character Tammy on The Good Wife. Liz is supposed to have a semi-regular role this year. Her character played the date of Will Gardner at an exclusive back-tie dinner. If was obvious that she caught on right away to the sexual tension between Will and Alicia Florek.
Next up on prime time network TV are Jackson Rathbone in No Ordinary Family and MacKenzie Foy in Hawaii 5-0
Moviefone’s annual hottest under 25 list just came out and Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson all made the cut.
“They’re young, they’re talented, they’re incredibly wealthy … and they aren’t old enough to rent a car at the regular rate.
Welcome to Moviefone’s annual 25 Under 25 list, naming the hottest, most successful, most promising young stars in Hollywood today.
From the ‘Harry Potter’ trio to the ‘Twilight’ kids, from the youngest (11) to the oldest (24), this list is full of established and upcoming talent. Some of our picks, despite their youth, are veterans with several movies under their belts (Shia LaBeouf, Kristen Stewart), while others are just starting out (Jaden Smith, Hailee Steinfeld). We even have three Emmas — take note, prospective parents.”

Jodi Foster who played Kristen Stewart’s mother in the film Panic Room (rent it if you haven’t seen it, it’s a great thriller) commented on Kristen’s career to E!’s Marc Malken:
“She’s a great person, and I’m not surprised she’s gone on to to do great things,” Foster told me last night at Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood awards show at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. “But I am surprised she is an actress.”
Why?
“I didn’t think that’s where she was headed,” Foster explained. “And even though her mom said, ‘No, she really really wants to be an actress,’ I felt like, Nah, she won’t because she really doesn’t have the stereotypical personality.”
Meaning Stewart was not all about trying to become famous? “Who does?” Foster said. “Anybody who has a brain doesn’t. That tells you how smart Kristen Stewart is.”
See our slideshow below on what Stephenie Meyer said Bella’s dress looked like when fans first asked her about it almost three years ago. The photos went along with this quote on the old Lexicon forums, “I wish I still had the picture I based the description of Bella’s dress on, but it was lost in my fateful computer crash. Those of you who are going with the old fashioned look are on the right track. Two key words to aid in the search: art nouveau. It’s a simpler style than the frillier Edwardian stuff. Elegant white satin, cut on the bias, with long sleeves (the strapless thing is a very recent development. It wasn’t even popular when I was getting married, only 13 years ago, much less during the modest turn of the century). I search google images for the dress every now and then. I’ll let you know if I find something close one of these days.”
One of our Lexicon members (Love2Dream) had a Bella’s Wedding Dress website and she graciously allowed us to use the above information when the website folded.
So do you favor a book version wedding dress or a totally new take?
This summer at the first Italian Twilight convention in Rome, I had the pleasure of meeting Cleopatra who runs the website Team Edward POV. Cleopatra hails from Greece, she is a fanfic author, and she runs a great website. Today, she is sharing her interview with Gil Birmingham who was also at the convention.
Would you like to tell us more about your new movie with Chaske? It is called Shouting Secrets, right?
Yes, Shouting Secrets is a story of a family dealing with the history of the interactions between the different members. When one member tells the stories of the family in a book and then that book becomes a best seller. The writer of the book separates from the family and starts living in the big city, enjoying the big life being a celebrity. He is not revisited his origins for many years until his mother befalls sick and he is forced to come back and deal with all the tension, resentments and the love that still really exists between all the different family members and how they have come to a resolution with that.
It was hard to play that character while Chaske played another, considering your history with Twilight and your dynamic? Or you had chemistry so it was easier for you to fight?
Yes, we have a chemistry because we have done 5 movies together already, it’s not just Twilight. And we have great trust between us to be able to access that emotional body that was necessary for these characters. It’s like two people kind of jumping off a cliff together and trusting each other and what would come from that. So, it was really a wonderful experience to deal at safe with another actor.
