To other reporters at this same party, Nikki confirmed that Breaking Dawn starts shooting (likely principal photography) in a week and that the “script is awesome”.

Kristen Stewart Heading For Scream 2010

“The Twilight star [Kristen Stewart]has signed on to make an appearance at Spike TV’s Scream 2010 awards at L.A.’s Greek Theater. (Show tapes Oct. 16 and then airs three days later.)”
This is a pretty good sign that Eclipse has won several of the awards that it was up for, otherwise Kristen wouldn’t be there. Last year Taylor Lautner picked up the awards for the Twilight Saga including:
Best Fantasy Movie: Twilight
Best Fantasy Actor, Male: Robert Pattinson, Twilight
Best Fantasy Actor, Female: Kristen Stewart, Twilight
Breakout Performance, Male: Taylor Lautner, Twilight
This year Eclipse is up for a ton of awards, but not New Moon even though both movies qualified as far as release dates went. The thought is that the studio only submitted the last film so as not to compete against themselves and split the vote!

Really, they move to the big city for moments like last night, when we literally crashed (oops) into actress Nikki Reed. She was hosting the Swatch New Gent launch at the Gansevoort Park hotel, and once we got over the shock of tripping over a Cullen, we asked the actress and writer a few questions. Here’s what she said.

Kristen Stewart Hitting the Tonight Show on Friday

Kristen Stewart is scheduled to be on The Tonight Show this Friday to do PR for Welcome to the Rileys, her film with James Gandolfini that was the big buzz at Sundance and elsewhere this year.
Expect some of the talk to drift to Breaking Dawn. The last time Kristen did the Tonight Show can be seen in the videos below.

The actors posted videos on Your.MTV.com letting young people know that no matter what, there is always someone or something to rely on in the face of adversity…In light of recent teen suicides linked to anti-gay bullying — specifically the death of Rutgers student Tyler Clementi — MTV partnered with Snow and the Jed Foundation (with support from DoSomething.org, the Trevor Project, Reach Out, Active Minds and the Ad Council) to create Love Is Louder and help spread messages of love and hope to teens who feel they might have run out of options.”

Nikki Reed Raising a Rescue Dog

Looks like Kellan Lutz isn’t the only Twilight actor to raise rescue animals. His two dogs, Kola and Kevin, are both from shelters. Nikki Reed has a rescue pet too, a pit bull named Sydney. According to People Pets:
“In the Twilight saga, Nikki Reed plays a vampire who deals with werewolves — not to mention the curse of perpetual teen angst. But none of that could prepare the actress for her latest project: raising rescue dog Sydney.
“She’s a pit bull, and I’m all about tough dogs,” Reed told PEOPLEPets.com last Friday night at Teen Vogue‘s 8th Annual Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles. “But she definitely has a screw loose!”
The actress rescued the 2 1/2-year-old from a shelter, and the two seemed to have an instant connection. But soon after the pooch came home, Reed started to notice a few, er, peculiar personality traits in her four-legged pal.
“I hate to say this, but she doesn’t like kids,” the actress admits, adding, “and she doesn’t like strollers … and she hates other animals.”
