MTV has a poll up that does a really good rundown of the movies releasing within the next year that have Twilight stars as part of the cast. Some are starring roles like Kristen Stewart in On the Road and others are feature roles like Jamie Campbell Bower in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Here are some trailers with the choices

Find out who Bronson Pelltier’s and Booboo Stewart’s favorite TV stars are.

Twilight Stars Masterminds?

I’m a geek. If you’ve ever me (Laura) there would be little doubt in your mind. Part of my geekdom, is that I loved the game Mastermind. I got it when I was around 12 or so. I’ve always been a sucker for logic games. So the makers of Mastermind had a Mastermind tournament going backstage at the Teen Choice awards and several Twilight stars: Justin Chon, Charlie Bewley,Kiowa Gordon, Bronson Pelltier played. Watch the video and the final rankings to find out which Twilight star won!

James Franco Twilight Fan?

MTV’s Josh Horowitz caught up with James Franco at the Toronto International Film Festival and apparently he’s up on Twilight.

Ryan Robbins’ Daughter Auditions For Renesmee

Actor Ryan Robbins, probably best known as a part of the Sanctuary cast, tweeted that his daughter had her first ever audition for the role of Renesmee. This is the latest in several verified reports of children auditioning for the role. Others have included children with a modeling background and a cousin of Bronson Pelletier’s.

In each of the cases, when photos have been available, the children appear to be between 4-6 years old based on photos.  Ryan Robbins’ daughter, according to the IMDB, was born in 2004 making her 6-years-old (give or take based on her exact birthdate). Given child labor laws and the practicality of getting two-year-olds to act on cue with any degree predictability, it would seem that the 4-6 year old  range might be what’s needed to capture emotion in certain scenes, even if it is beyond the two-year-old appearance in the books.

Of course, there is also speculation that they could use a 4-6 year-old child, and then via Benjamin Button type technology, alter her appearance to be younger.

It wouldn’t be the first time when obvious age ranges of characters vary greatly from the book. Both Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser appear well into their late 30’s on screen, whereas their book counterparts appear to be 23 and 26 respectively.

If Ryan Robbins’ daughter is cast, they can always go to fellow Sanctuary cast member Chris Heyrerdahl for Twilight Saga advice.

David Slade Heading to Vancouver Discussion Panel

David SladesetAccording to the Canadian news outlet The Province:

“Take away the screaming fans outside the barricades, and the making of the mega-hit vampire romance Eclipse had a lot in common with the harsh indie drama Hard Candy, says the man who directed both movies.

David Slade is returning to Vancouver, where he spent a year working on this summer’s blockbuster hit Eclipse, to talk to an audience of new filmmakers at the Vancouver Film and Television Forum about crafting a movie scene.

“It’s kind of similar, whether you’re working for a big studio or on an independent film. It’s never a playground,” says the British-born Slade, who will talk about the filming of a couple of scenes from each movie Oct. 2 at the industry-themed component of the Vancouver International Film Festival.

The forum hosts filmmakers at the Vancouver International Film Centre from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2. Also speaking will be Jennifer’s Body director Karyn Kusama, and Vince Gilligan, creator of TV’s Breaking Bad, among more than 70 Vancouver-based and international writers, directors and producers. Registration information and a full schedule are at www.viff.org.”

David isn’t the only film maker involved in a panel discussion. This coming weekend, Melissa Rosenberg is in New York City as part of the New Yorker Festival on a panel with Stephen King. Given past commentary of Stephen King, this should be interesting at the very least.

Robert Pattinson’s Hair Snagged by The Buried Life Cast

According to On The Red Carpet:

“Those are just a few of the goals the guys accomplished last season, and the next chapter seems even better! On The Red Carpet caught up with stars Dave Lingwood and Jonnie Penn at the MTV Video Music Awards, who told us they’re getting closer and closer to all of their goals.

“One of the things on the list was to accept a dare, off the internet,” Penn said. “And they voted and said to steal a lock of Robert Pattinson’s hair. And we managed to do it. That was probably the weirdest thing we’ve ever done.”

“I don’t recommend going up to someone and asking them for their hair. It’s just awkward and weird,” laughed Lingwood.

For those of you that don’t know, The Buried Life is based on a bucket list of goals the guys want to complete in their lives. The difference is they’re going for them now, while still in their 20’s!”
