Attention all you Canadians or anyone attending the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), 100 Monkeys has an upcoming gig at TIFF. According to Chart Attack“The Sadies, Radio Radio, Karkwa, Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone’s 100 Monkeys and Fefe Dobson will perform at TIFF’s special Bell Lightbox Block Party on Sept. 12 to celebrate the opening of the new TIFF Bell Lightbox.”
Girlfriend will be making its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September. The trailer debuted today on the Facebook page for Girlfriend. You can also keep up to date when release dates and other information regarding the movie by following @girlfriendmovie on Twitter.
I have to say after watching the trailer the movie looks very interesting and maybe just a little sad. Can’t wait to see it.
Movie Description
When an unexpected financial windfall affords a young man with Down Syndrome some freedom, he decides to pursue the object of his high school crush, Candy. The decision brings him into conflict with her volatile ex-boyfriend, and the three find themselves involved in a complex, unpredictable triangle of love, aspiration and dreams.
Looks like Jackson Rathbone could welcome Rami Malek to the Twilight family and give him a few pointers on the experience since they have worked together before.
While I was looking around for background info on Rami Malek, I also found this great interview about Rami’s life changing role in HBO miniseries, The Pacific.
So what do you think about Rami?
ET got the scoop at their post Emmy Awards party. Rami Malek (no doubt his IMDB ranking is going through the roof as we speak) will be playing Benjamin. He is probably best known for his roles in 24, The Pacific, and Night at the Museum.
Benjamin, who is mated with Tia, was created by Amun knowing that the boy would be special. Amun has since been trying to turn Benjamin’s ability to manipulate earth, air, fire, and water into a weapon, but Benjamin is very independent and won’t be used. He bonds quickly with many of the covens and nomads gathered at the Cullen’s house and declares that he will stand with them if the Volturi attack. They are all members of the Egyptian coven.
We are going to go out on a limb and say it also seems highly probable that this is Rami’s real Twitter in that it was made months ago, and it covers his former and upcoming work. We are checking official channels to be sure.

The entire staff here at the Lexicon has been enjoying Alex Meraz’s artistic talent at conventions and we’ve even shared that with all of you many times. So it’s no surprise to us that other sources are finally picking up on his amazing abilities and featuring his work as not just the hot tempered member of the wolf pack, but as a real artist. As Meraz finds his place in the industry, his art will never be far behind, as he continues to strive for a balance of all his creative interests at the start of a very chaotic Hollywood life. With the end of summer fast approaching, Moviefone is asking movie goers what their best and wost pics of the summer were. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and its stars are listed in several categories including favorite on screen couple, best chick flick, and the movie that was most worth your cash. But it wouldn’t be a poll if there wasn’t the all important, never ending question of Jacob vrs Edward.
