Twilight Feelings: Robert Pattinson Mosaic Portrait

According to the New York Times,  a portrait of Robert Pattinson done in a mosaic style is being featured at a New York art show. The piece is entitled Twilight Feelings.

“Is collage inherently subversive? This strenuously lively group show, organized by Paper magazine’s Carlo McCormick, suggests so.

The mischievous tone is set by Mark Flood’s “Twilight Feelings” (2010), a distorted, mosaic-style portrait of the vampire-franchise heartthrob Robert Pattinson. Using multiple copies of the same photograph, Mr. Flood gives the actor a giraffelike neck and sharply protruding chin.”

The show is at 527 West 23rd Street in Chelsea Through Aug. 27

See more at the New York Times.

There is no word in the article if the portrait is for sale, or the exact meaning of the artist. What do you think about the work?

Movieline Talks to Anna Kendrick about Breaking Dawn and Scott Pilgrim

“Now, I had thought that you’re done with the Twilight films, but IMDb lists you as being part of Breaking Dawn. Is that an error?”

IMDb never lies, so… [Laughs] I honestly don’t know. The honest-to-God truth is that I have not talked to [screenwriter] Melissa Rosenberg about it.

How does it feel to be done with that franchise?

I feel like I got to go in and do my little silliness and try to be funny in the time that I was given. It was cool to be a part of something from the beginning when we had no idea what it was going to become, but it’s not really my movie, it’s not my experience. I’m just happy to have been along for the ride.

Jackson Rathbone Fansite Interview

The folks over at Jackson Rathbone Online have a 20 question Q & A with Jackson on Twilight, his music, the Last Airbender and more.

The last time we spoke with you, you had only one tattoo at the time. Fast forward to a few years later, you now have 6 according to a recent interview with Saturday Night Magazine. What are your new tattoos and what do they mean to you?
Actually, it’s seven now… They all mean a whole lot to me, but I don’t know how fully I want to describe them… I have a heart for my mom, a hammer for my dad, a tattoo for the late great Spencer Bell, as well as two for my late grandparents, my first tattoo, “I’m lost”, and my newest is my family motto, “suaviter et fortiter”.

You have two films coming out the same week, how does it feel to have completed two films directed toward two very different fan bases?
It’s a mark of how I want to keep shaping my career. Keep it moving, change it up, always make it fresh for myself and the audience as well.

How did it feel to step into Sokka’s shoes for the very first time?
Pretty damn comfortable. Kinda like leather slippers.

At Newcon you revealed you originally auditioned for the role of Zuko for Airbender. Are you glad you were chosen for Sokka instead?
I think Dev plays an amazing Zuko and I had a lot of fun with the character of Sokka. I’m also excited to get to delve into Sokka’s development as a warrior and strategist… that is, if we get the next two films greenlit. Here’s to hope!”
