100 Monkeys: Age Is Just a Number

100 Monkeys sat down with legendary Las Vegas entertainment reporter Robin Leach (yes, that Robin Leach) to talk about the band’s dynamic:

“It isn’t the unusual name of 100 Monkeys that makes the funk rock band so unique. It isn’t just that Twilight star Jackson Rathbone is in the band. It isn’t just the fact that all five musicians can switch over to one another’s roles and alternate instruments during performances. It’s the fact that four of the all-American boys are in their 20s, and the fifth member is a black man in his late 50s.

“The age gap is unique, but art has no age, no number, no beginning and no end,” 57-year-old Chicago-born Lawrence Abrams told me. “When I first met them, I saw and felt a lot of myself coming up in them right before my eyes. I may be 25 years their senior, but they have rhythm and soul. They say I bring a lot of wisdom, kindness and patience to their table.”

Billy Burke Talks About the End of Twilight Saga

Twilightish has a great interview with Billy Burke about his feelings on working with the Twilight Saga over the years.

Twilightish: How does it feel to see the end of the Twilight Saga? Are you happy to move on?

Billy: It’s weird you know? Cause it’s kinda like being on a television show for the last three years. It was a steady gig for me you know? I can’t say that I’m heart broken about it but it was a good gig for me. I’m a little on the fence about how I feel. I think that it has run its course, and we as artists and audiences have gotten everything we can possibly get out of it. Always happy to be moving on. I have no idea what is next for me.

Twilightish: Do you wish for more movies?

Billy: No, no I don’t wish for more Twilight movies. Anything beyond this would be pushing cartoon level.

Twilightish: When you look back on Twilight, would you do it all over again or pass?

Billy: Of Course! Absolutely! Actually, I enjoyed playing Charlie. I liked him!”
