Jackson Rathbone: Hiding Some Broken Ribs

According to Contact Music, Jackson Rathbone told a British TV show that he hid an injury during the filming of Breaking Dawn. Jackson told Peaches Geldof on her OMG program

“I’m just about to head out to Vancouver, where it’s very cold, and finish filming the rest of the Twilight series… Actually I just got back (from filming some scenes) where I did all my own stunts for the Twilight film… Well actually, I’ve got to tell you a little secret that no one else knows. I did all my own stunts with a broken rib.

“I didn’t even tell the production company because I was afraid that they were going to not let me do my own stunts and I had to do it. So I just wore a rib splint and went in there, did it… bit through the pain, if you know what I mean. There you go.”

See the whole story on Contact music.

This wouldn’t be the first time Jackson was injured on set.  He fell off a horse in Eclipse (more wounded pride than anything there), and he and Kellan Lutz mis-timed a sequence in Eclipse where Jackson ended up with a concussion because as Peter Facinelli put it, “Jackson’s head hitting Kellan’s fist wasn’t really a good combination.”

The AP Interviews Jamie Campbell Bower

Yesterday was press junket day in New York for the Camelot series that will be on the Stars network in the USA. Jamie Campbell-Bower plays Arthur. Look for lots of interviews this week with Jamie where he talks Camelot and a little Breaking Dawn. Jamie is currently doing some local NYC media, hopefully we’ll have that footage later today.

USA Today Talks with Stephenie Meyer About Upcoming Projects

USA Today has a teaser for a story that will hit the web on Thursday about Stephenie Meyer’s next project.  The article promises to deliver comments from Stephenie about the various members of the cast of The Twilight saga as well as “the creatures – some watery, some dark – she hopes to write about next.”  For those of you who have asked us and asked us and ASKED US about Stephenie’s next book, it looks like this will be your confirming answer.  In the past die hard fans have heard Stephenie mention the possibility of a mermaid book as well as a ghost story, which seems to fit the watery and dark components mentioned in the article.  We at the Lexicon hope there is some mention of a sequel to “The Host” as well.

As a teaser piece, this article didn’t deliver too much information.  Yet it still gave us some insight to Kristen Stewarts performance in Breaking Dawn.  Stephenie had this to say about Kristen’s transformation from human into vampire.

“She’s created a new character. I was really impressed.  I’ve only really seen her as (the human) Bella so to have her step up and change it in the right way — she didn’t have to talk to me. She knew. She knows the character so well now. She has really good instincts and, she looks amazing.”

Read the teaser over at USA Today and check back tomorrow for the full story.  Let us know your thoughts and hopes on what Stephenie writes next in the comments.

Robert Pattinson Italian Vanity Fair Interview

The staff over at Robert Pattinson News managed to snag a translation of the Robert Pattinson’s interview with the Italian version of Vanity Fair.

Is it true that the first thing you do when you are given a script is read the first and the last line?

“If the screenwriter is good, the beginning and the end work and there’s a 75% chance it’s a good story. Otherwise, the best thing to do is forget it. Today the problem is that scripts with the worst-written first pages are those that are made into movies and and make more money.”

-Are you saying that Twilight is badly-written?

“Things don’t always work this way. But it’s true that when I first read it, it didn’t appeal to me. I couldn’t understand what was so special and why everybody was so into it.”

Preview: Empire Magazine Interviews Robert Pattinson

Empire Magazine is slated to publish an interview with Robert Pattinson on Thursday. They are previewing a bit of it today.

“Pattinson also confirmed that, as far as he is concerned there will be no further Twilight outings following the two-part Breaking Dawn which finishes the current series. And he swears that he didn’t know what he was getting himself into with Stephenie Meyer’s massive vampire saga.

“I thought at the time, with Catherine Hardwicke and Kristen Stewart, it was going to be an indie movie. It seemed really interesting: a teen vampire movie that was going to be like Thirteen and really serious. I had no idea it was going to be this big thing you’d get on Burger King hats.”
