Melissa Rosenberg Highest Grossing Female Screenwriter

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Melissa Rosenberg has passed a movie industry milestone:

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg got an extra gift this holiday season. With The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 continuing its blockbuster run in theaters around the world — $647.3 million in grosses and counting — Rosenberg has become the highest-grossing female screenwriter in Hollywood, with more than $2.56 billion in worldwide revenue.

In the last two weeks, the total grosses for movies Rosenberg has written surpassed those of Linda Woolverton, whose 20-year career had its biggest hit in 2010 with the Tim Burton-directed Alice in Wonderland adaptation.

Despite the successes of Rosenberg and Linda Woolverton, article goes on to talk about the disparity between male and female writers in Hollywood, and that at best baby strides are being made. See the rest on THR.

Jackson Rathbone: Fault Magazine Additional Preview Image

Fault Magazine has released a final image and tidbit of interview from their Jackson Rathbone issue.

FAULT: You’ve just wrapped all of the worldwide Breaking Dawn premieres, how was the tour?

JR: Each stop on our tour, from Madrid to Rome to Toronto to LA to NY to Chicago and so on, was a wild and wonderful experience in its own way. We are just so grateful for the love and support of our fans, who continue to inspire us. Getting to meet these fine folks around the world, face-to-face, is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as an actor.”

FAULT: Will we get to see Jasper’s character developed more in Breaking Dawn Part 2?
JR: Absolutely. In Breaking Dawn Part 1, we got to see a new, lighter side of Jasper. He’s finally able to let loose a bit, and smile! At the wedding, he gets to take his lovely wifey, Alice, for a spin on the dance floor. By the end of the film though, the tone gets darker and he’s fighting to protect his family, Bella and the baby. In Part 2, with the looming threat of the Volturi, you’ll continue to see the evolution of Jasper. ..

Details on how to order the magazine for all pictures and the full interview are here.
