Happy Halloween “Bothered” Style

Karlee Dash from TwiFans encouraged them to post this video from 2009 where Rob Pattinson is “bothered” about Halloween.   We thought it would be fun to share it here, too.  Thanks for the reminder, TwiFans! Given that Laura is stuck in a snow storm without power and Lori will be out with kids all evening, we won’t be around to cover news again until late.  So until then, enjoy the video.

Bill Condon Talks Romance vs Sex Scene on Breaking Dawn

Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson in Breaking DawnIn a recent phone interview with MTV, Bill Condon addressed the concerns fans have had over the whole idea of a possible “R” rating for Breaking Dawn.

“It’s almost clinical the kind of strict guidelines [the MPAA] have about anything that appears to be — how do I put it delicately?

That appears to be, let’s call it thrusting. In fact, you know, it was so much more about romance than it was about hot-and-heavy action, so it was a very kind of simple adjustment to make.”

Condon wouldn’t confirm what Kristen Stewart said in Glamour about the film being re-cut to avoid the R rating.  We’ve heard from both sides of the fandom – those that want it to say PG-13 and those who want the “director’s cut” version that isn’t tamed down at all.  Let us know what you think in the comments.

“[I would like to know] what scene are they the proudest of that they took part in,” Laura said. “In terms of end result on film.”

When asked about the excitement leading up to the release of the film, Laura said, “I’m so busy grabbing every interview and news story. It takes my mind off of it.  Plus, we are planning this big private movie showing for our fans in the Nashville area, so I’ve been really busy with that.”

Michael Sheen Receives Theatre Award And Says Goodbye on Twitter

The Theatrical Management Association (TMA) has announced the winners for its Theatre Awards UK 2011, which honor creative excellence and the outstanding work seen on stages throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.  Michael Sheen and Bill Mitchell won for their direction of The Passion.

Sheen also posted this to his Twitter on Saturday: Goodbye to Twitter. Thanks to everyone who has been generous and kind. I wish you the best with all you do. To the rest, you have to live with yourselves. What you put out there is what you make for yourself to live in, for better or worse. Share, inspire, connect. Good luck. x

We’re not sure if this means he’s leaving Twitter for good or just for the time being, but we figured you twitter-aholics out there should know.

Rob Talks Fame, Fatherhood, and the Twilight Franchise

TwilightPoison has posted the translation of an interview Rob Pattinson did with CineMania for their Spanish publication.  The interview covers various topics from the end of the franchise to playing a father to dealing with fame.

Has it been easier to play Edward as time passed by?

In a way it’s been harder because of the nature of the character, who is a vampire. That limits what you can do. You can’t sleep, you can’t eat, everyday is long. You live 100 years and you can’t relate to people, you can’t have an impulse or desire. The danger is to keep repeating yourself after awhile after playing the same character for 5 movies. You have to come up with new things to add. The great thing is that Bill Condon, everytime I was doing a scene and he felt like I was doing the same thing again, he would suggest me to change it and try something else. It wasn’t scary even if we had to do something that was not in the book.

Everybody is talking about the sex scenes…

The book is a great example on how to keep something censored, and at the same time erotic. It plays with people’s imagination. The sex scene is completely on the fans’ minds. But in a way it’s hard because when you do the scene, you need to show things, and not fade to black, or people would go nuts. It’s weird filming something people have been expecting for such a long time, knowing the expectations. I hope we do justice to it.

Your character and Kristen’s shared so many romantic times during the filming, especially the last day of filming.

The last day of filming in Saint Thomas was great. It was just Kristen and I. The only time we were able to film with a nice weather. It was literally the last day of filming, and we were filming a scene in which we’re kissing in the ocean, all night. So it wasn’t a bad way to say goodbye. Then everybody stayed to watch the sunrise. It was beautiful.

More from Nikki and Jackson in Rome

More footage of Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone at the premier in Rome has surfaced.  There is a video on facebook of the event with some interviews of various Italian fans.  Nikki had this to say about working with Kristen Stewart as well as some of the Volturi cast members:

“Kristen is a wonderful actress and so any moment you get to have with her is wonderful and we’ve been working with these people for so long and you don’t, you forget what it’s like to actually act and do scenes with some of these actors that are really great, like Michael Sheen is awesome and you don’t actually act with them so this time around it was really nice.”

Jackson talked about making a project that the fans want to see and will appreciate.

“Well you know, you always want to make a piece of art directly for the fans because they are the ones who make this all possible, if it wasn’t for their love and devotion we wouldn’t be here talking right now  about the film. And this film is the culmination of the series, it’s the, finally we get to see the consummation of the relationship between Edward and Bella and I do mean, yes, vampire sex.”

Name All the Vampires!

It’s pretty common knowledge that Lori (Alphie) is not just a fan of Twilight, but of all things Vampires.  So when Twilightish posted this wonderful chart covering all the most popular vampires in movies and on TV, we simply had to share!  It was created by Ben Douglas and he challenges you to name all 12 Vamps.  Notably missing are Damon and Stefan from Vampire Diaries, but they pretty much have the rest of the vamps covered!  Leave us a post if you can name them all!  Oh… and Happy Halloween!

Video: Bella Gets Ready For Honeymoon Swimming

For those of you who were at Comic Con, this is old news.  But if you haven’t seen the scene yet, here it is!  This follows the scene where Edward carries Bella into the house on Isle Esme and she asks for a human moment.

Thanks to Hypable.

Video: Muppets Parody Breaking Dawn

File this under the “and now we’ve seen everything” section of your brain.  The new Muppet movie trailer spoofs several Hollywood franchises from Paranormal Activity to Puss n Boots to, yup, you guessed it, Breaking Dawn.

Bill Condon Talks Favorite Scenes, Romance, and Edward’s PoV

Fandongo released an interview with Bill Condon where the director discusses some scenes in the film from Edward’s PoV that focus on his back story.

Fandango: We get so much of Bella’s and Jacob’s view in the last book, but what specific parts do we get to see more of Edward’s point of view?
Condon: There’s something that we put in there that’s referred to in an earlier book. We actually get to see Edward in his early life as a vampire and hear his thoughts about that. There’s a glimpse of him in Twilight describing how he got turned, how he got changed by Carlisle, but this is more extensive. I do think we get more inside Edward and he changes a lot, too. The wedding has an effect on him. There’s an aspect of self-loathing to him about what he did when he was a vampire [earlier] that he releases through Bella’s love. I think that’s a fun thing to watch.
Fandango also asks Condon about something fans have been speculating about – why is Irina from the Denali Coven at the wedding?
Fandango: What is Irina doing at the wedding (as seen in movie photos)? That’s noticeably different from the book.
Condon: In that case, it’s just about good movie storytelling. Just imagine if she’s not there and then in the second movie, she shows up, sees Renesmee and freaks out. No one will know who she is. People will talk about who she is, as they do in the book. Or you’d be stuck with some clunky flashback. To make something really cinematic, you put it into the present tense. She doesn’t want to come, she’s convinced to come, she gets there, she sees something that upsets her and she leaves – so that you see, you experience what it is that’s bothering her. It’s because her problem with the Cullens is the lynchpin for the entire second movie. Part of it why it’s there has to do with servicing what’s going to happen in the first half hour of the second film.
