Robert Pattinson On The Insanity of Fading To Black

Robert Pattinson was interviewed by Total Film for Breaking Dawn. The have part of the interview (the rest is in teh print issue) online.

Those marital relations have some pretty severe consequences too, with Bella becoming pregnant with a half vampire-half human child. Turns out we weren’t the only ones a little taken aback by this turn of events.

“When the final book came out, I was like ‘She’s not even thinking outside the box anymore. She’s broken the whole box!’” Pattinson told us.

“She went all out on the last one. It’s almost a different genre of movie.”

So, was Pattinson daunted by the prospect of the sex scenes? “It’s funny,” he added. “People talk about sex scenes in the book, but there aren’t actually any. It’s all in people’s imagination. They’re like ‘It’s so hardcore,’ but it always fades to black. It just shows bits of the aftermath.”

Not that that filmmakers will be taking that approach. “You have to show something!” Pattinson asserts.

“You can’t fade to black in the movie because people would go insane!

Kristen Stewart Didn’t Want Her Birthday to Eclipse Wrap Party

According to Marc Malken at E!, Kristen Stewart didn’t want to celebrate her 21st birthday on set because she was afraid it would upstage the wrap party that was scheduled for the same day. Marc got Julia Jones to comment.

“There was a huge cake for her, but she didn’t want it to be about her birthday; she wanted it to be about the wrap party,” Breaking Dawn’s Julia Jones told us at last night’s Burberry Body event in Beverly Hills. “So they didn’t bring it out.”

“At a certain point, myself and a few other people were like, ‘Wait a minute. Where is Kristen’s cake?'” Jones said. “We went back into the kitchen and demanded they bring the cake out. It was quite a scene.”

Stewart finally gave in.

“She was totally fine,” Jones said. “But I understand, because the wrap party was a big deal. I’m very shy about my birthday also. You don’t want any more attention.”

Congratulations Myra McEntire: Hourglass Optioned For a Movie

Congratulations to our friend Myra McEntire. Myra has assisted us with our annual Twilight Lexicon movie events. She event did one practically by herself for us the year we were on the road in Salt Lake. (Sign up for this year’s spectacular Breaking Dawn movie event here)

For those of you who don’t know, Myra is an author in her own right. Her debut novel, Hourglass (getting 4 and 5 star average reviews on Amazon and Good reads) came out this spring and her next novel in the series, Timepiece is due out this coming summer.

Hourglass was voted best summer book read over at MTV’s Hollywood Crush earlier this year and now it’s being made into a movie!

Hourglass is about a teen girl, Emerson, who thinks she sees ghosts however they are  something completely different. Her brother Thomas hires Michael, a consultant from the Hourglass, to help her understand who she is and what she can do.  Michale and Emerson work closely together which causes results in feelings that can not be acted on for so many reasons.  Hourglass is a fast paced, time slip novel where nothing is what is seems. MTV called it “Doctor Who in YA package” and Novel Novice said “Take one part X-Men, one part The Time Traveler’s Wife, add in a charming Southern setting, a heavy dose of angst and romance, and a generous splash of Myra McEntire’s signature sense of humor — and the result is Hourglass

From Deadline Hollywood:

Davis will produce, and Magnet Pictures’ Brandy Rivers and Mitch Solomon will be exec producers. The acquisition was made from Davis’ discretionary fund.

Video Debut: The Belle Brigade: I Didn’t Mean It, Breaking Dawn Soundtrack

Check out the brother and sister duo’s song from the soundtrack! “We wrote ‘I Didn’t Mean It’ while housesitting for our friend with a piano,” says frontwoman Barbara Gruska. “We pretty much wrote the whole song in a few hours, which is a lot faster than usual. We were really excited about the song when we wrote it, and it kind of sat around for a little while until we were asked for material for Twilight. The song is about jealousy, so it works well with the whole Twilight love triangle.” Rolling Stone
