Twilight fans that have been around since before there were Twilight Saga films know that Emily Browning was one of Stephenie Meyer’s top picks to play Bella Swan. When the casting was announced, there were many fans who were upset that Browning wasn’t playing Bella. At the time Browning said that she was “just exhausted” and “definitely didn’t want to sign on to a trilogy” at the time. The actress now talks to Digital Spy about having “no regrets” about turning down the opportunity. Keeping in line with the current Hollywood trend of modernizing classic fairy tales, Browning’s next film is Jane Campion’s Sleeping Beauty. Leave us a comment and tell us how different you think the saga would have been had Emily been cast instead of Kristen.

Transcript of Melissa Rosenberg’s Glamour Chat
Melissa Rosenberg chatted today with fans on Glamour Magazine’s facebook page. Robert Pattinson News has the transcript.
Favorite scenes in the movie/books?
“I’d have to say the honeymoon scenes. very romantic and playful. lovely to see Edward and Bella having fun”.Percentage of book (Breaking Dawn) actually in the movie?
“Because we split the one book into two movies, it gave us a lot more room to include as much as possible from the books. Particularly in the first part. We wanted all our favorite scenes to be included – of course everyone has different favorites, but hopefully you’ll be happy.”Wondering what to look forward to (other than everything?):
“There are some AWESOME romantic scenes for Bella and Edward! Seriously. The wedding is lush and emotional, the honeymoon is truly sexy. Trust me on this one.”

What Missing Merchchandie Fans Want: Wolf Plushies Anyone?
In this week’s Movies.com column, Laura covers the exciting new Twilight products that are out and some that the fans are dying to see in the future.
“What was entirely unexpected was the avalanche of Tweets that happened when I retweeted one fan who suggested that merchandisers were missing a very important product, a Jacob wolf plushie. “I would kill to have a Stephenie Meyer-designed Jacob plushie that wasn’t just any wolf. I’d want one that she says was her vision of Jacob,” responded one ardent fan. Clearly, there is a huge, untapped market there based on the massive number of retweets and comments back that I received. Who knows, maybe for the final film?”

Twilight Guy Kaleb Nation Lands His Own TV Show
Many Lexicon readers are familiar with Kaleb Nation, AKA “The Twilight Guy”. Kaleb caught Stephenie Meyer’s and our attention back before the first Twilight movie came out with his Twilight Guy blog where he covered Twilight chapter by chapter from a guy’s perspective.
In the time since then, Kaleb has been a web personality with his own popular YouTube channel, an author, and he’s still a devoted Twilight Fan covering various events. Well now he can add something else:
According to Hypable , who got the scoop on this news, “Mark Morgan (“The Twilight Saga”), NYT bestselling author Kami Garcia (“The Beautiful Creatures Series” & “Unbreakable”), Michael Pollack (“Black Forest”) and Brett Hudson (“Cloud 9”) are giving the YouTube Generation its first reality show, KALEB’S NATION, starring YouTube personality Kaleb Nation. Nation will also produce, and Hudson will direct.
The show will follow Kaleb Nation, as he develops the parodies, music videos, and pop culture commentary that have garnered over 28 million views on his YouTube channel, while throwing Nation into a totally new arena—Hollywood. Celebrities and other YouTube personalities will guest star, while Nation experiences a behind the scenes look at what it takes to make it on, and off, the red carpet. The producers are keeping the details under lock and key, but we were able to get a few comments.
According to Kami Garcia, “Anyone who watches Kaleb’s videos will immediately see the potential of the show, and I’m excited to be part of it.” Mark Morgan added, “I find Kaleb to be a fascinating and highly entertaining piece of talent. This is more than a TV show. Kaleb is a brand in and unto himself, and I am happy to be working with someone who has his finger on the pulse of current pop culture.”

On behalf of the staff of the Twilight Lexicon, we’d like to say congratulations to Kaleb.

Twilight Soundtracks Boost Musicians Careers
The title may sound pretty obvious to Twilight fans. I for one would never have listened to Muse or Sia if it weren’t for the Twilight connection. Now Rolling Stone confirms what most fans might have guessed,
Christina Perri is a Twi-hard – she even has a Twilight-themed tattoo to prove it. So when the 25-year-old singer found out her swooner of a love song “A Thousand Years” was going to be included on the soundtrack for the new Twilight film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, she was more than enthused. “I really had to contain myself,” Perri tells Rolling Stone. “I was sweating I was so excited.”
No surprise – having a track featured on a Twilight soundtrack offers unparalleled exposure. The movie series has a diehard fan base – the three films have grossed nearly $1.7 billion at the box office – and Twilight fans are music fans, as well: since 2008, the three films’ soundtracks have sold a combined five million copies in the U.S. alone. Joy Formidable frontwoman Ritzy Bryan, who learned a month ago that her band’s moody track “Endtapes” would serve as the opening cut for the Breaking Dawn soundtrack, is confident that being included in the film will open new avenues for the breaking London trio. “I think we’re definitely going to reach people that won’t have heard of the band,” Bryan says. “That can only be a good thing.”

Video: Kellan Lutz Men’s Fitness Behind the Scenes
Men’s Fitness Magazine. Here’s what the magazine had to say (consider their audience) “Most recognize him as a teeny-bopper heartthrob thanks to his turn as a vampire in The Twilight Saga, but Kellan Lutz proved that he’s no glimmering pansy during our November cover shoot. The 26-year-old, who stars next as the Greek god Poseidon in Immortals, was happy to put his neck on the line and succumb to our bizarre requests in pursuit of the perfect shot. But the photos weren’t enough to show how truly impressed we were with some of his superhuman moves. Lutz proved again that he was no mere mortal… and managed to be a good sport throughout the gritty process.”
