Jackson Rathbone Talks Breaking Dawn Music With Castmates
Jackson Rathbone is on a PR swing to promote Aim High, a revolutionary concept of a web-based series. He mentioned what it’s been like musically with his Breaking Dawn cast mates.
One could even argue that Rathbone himself is leading a bit of a double life. In addition to acting and being a heartthrob for the Twilight set, Rathbone is also a musician. His band 100 Monkeys, a multi-piece funk rock band, tours often. Although, as Rathbone revealed, it sounds like he and his Twilight co-stars could have formed their very own group over the course of the years.
“Rob [Pattinson] and I have jammed quite a bit (on the set),” he says. “Miss [Kristen] Stewart is quite a guitarist and singer herself. Nikki Reed is actually a fantastic songwriter and she is an amazing singer, too, but it’s hard to get her to sing. I think I’m one of the few people that’s ever gotten her to sing. I badgered her enough. On this last movie I was teaching Ashley [Greene] a little bit about the ukulele. Kellan [Lutz] is actually taking up the guitar…We always had a good ol’ time [playing music together on the set.]“
Of course, the good times couldn’t go on forever for the Twilight cast and crew, who have wrapped filming on the final chapter in the saga, Breaking Dawn — Part 2. “The last day of filming was bittersweet, it was surreal,” Rathbone says. “It was about three in the morning. It was wet, it was very, very cold. When they called wrap, the core Cullen clan was there and we just all kind of looked at each other and were like, ‘Man!’”

Breaking Dawn Breaks A Marketing Trend for Fandango
Fandango is reporting that their email to give customers a heads up to Breaking Dawn going on sale was an unprecedented success. Usually email pieces like that count themselves lucky with a 5% rate of return. According to the industry publication Media News Daily:
Click-through rates for any consumer marketing emails can be in on the low side — in the single digits. But one entertainment property, “The Twilight Saga” — at least with repeat customers — continues to buck that trend.
Digital movie ticket company Fandango says it has witnessed an eye-popping 57% click-through rate from a special email sent out earlier this month to previous “Twilight” consumers for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.”
“This was an extraordinarily effective email campaign for us — one that was designed to raise awareness of the “Breaking Dawn” tickets-on-sale date of Oct. 1,” says Ted Hong, chief marketing officer of Fandango. “Paperless Post was a natural partner for a digital wedding invitation, and we heard from many “Twilight” fans about what a kick it was to get an invite to the Cullen celebration. We hope we can continue creating innovative solutions like this one, which help start conversations about the ticketing for upcoming movies.”
It’s too early to get full results just yet, but the question is will Breaking Dawn blow away the record set by New Moon on presale tickets?
Where Are The Breaking Dawn Actors Going to Be Outside the USA?
A lot of this is still in flux, so if your country hasn’t popped up yet all hope is not lost. These things usually have to be worked out with film festival organizers and such, actors filming schedules on other projects, and lots of other details like plain old dollars and cents.
The Twilight Examiner has an excellent listing of what we know so far with the following countries:
Belgium
Spain
France
Italy
Sweden
Check out her site for full details.

We also learned today that Robert Pattinson, Bill Condon, and Taylor Lautner would be at the UK Premiere. This is the first premiere (as opposed to fan event or film festival) where the cast will be.

Breaking Dawn Stars Hit the Real Steel Carpet
Several of the Twilight actors were at the premier of Real Steel, and interviewers were able to grab a few moments with them.
Olga Fonda is slated for the second half of Breaking Dawn, and no we still really don’t know who she plays other than she’s involved with the Volturi, she’s in the photo with Michael on pg 39 of the Breaking Dawn EW issue. This is the first time we’ve gotten a chance to even really know what she sounds like!
Nikki Reed was also there, but didn’t say much.
