In this video Kiowa Gordon talks with PopStar about filming the wedding scene, his Breaking Dawn Experience and more.
This week in Laura’s Movies.com column she talks about the soundtrack and how fans are reacting to it: the debates, early favorites, and the Muse controversy. She featured some Lexicon commentary to sum up fan reaction around the Internet.
Here’s how she featured Mia Maestro
What’s also interesting is that Breaking Dawn cast member, Mia Maestro, who plays Carmen of the Denali coven has a track on the CD with the very same name as the Bruno Mars song. The only difference is the title is in Spanish. Lloverá means “It will rain”, so there is a question as to whether it’s an entirely new song, a Spanish cover of the Bruno Mars Song, or perhaps a blend of the Bruno Mars’ song and original material. Regardless, this marks the first time a song in Spanish has been used in a Twilight Saga soundtrack. Maestro is mostly known to American fans for her work on Alias, but she is also a talented vocalist who has fantastic range and an earthy quality to her voice. She has sung at festivals around the world.

Black Island Farms in Utah boasts having the largest corn maze in the state. For the last couple of years they have done Twilight themed corn mazes. This year they are back again and they are grateful for the support. Their Eclipse maze was a big hit last year, and so was their New Moon maze the year before that.
According to the Standard
Owner Dorothy Law said the theme of this year’s maze is “Breaking Dawn,” a sequel in the popular “Twilight” saga. The cornfields — with twists, turns and dead ends — are designed to look like the faces of the actors: Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Besides the maze and hayrides — which include a pumpkin for every passenger — there is a farmer’s market, animal alley, cow train, corn cannon, pig races, a haunted house, a grain-chute slide and many other activities.
“It’s really neat to see so many people here,” Black said, adding that organizers are hoping 50,000 people will come to the farm.
“At night when the lights are on and you’re in the maze where the fire pits are, it’s magical,” Black said.
Because of the way the venues are set up, he said, it doesn’t seem that crowded, even at the busiest times.
Dorothy Law said by opening the farm to the public, her family has a chance to teach visitors why farming is so important for the country.
“At the rate farms are being sold, the U.S. will soon be relying on other countries to import fresh vegetables and fruits,” she said, pointing out that Black Island Farm is not just a place for entertainment, but a “real working vegetable farm.”

Scene Today, a magazine that largely covers the ever rising Louisiana film industry, chatted with Peter Facinelli about Breaking Dawn and the multiple projects he’s working on, many of them via his own production company.
MH: You filmed the first few installments of the Twilight franchise up in the Northwest. Was it a big shift coming down to Louisiana for the final two films?
PF: I actually enjoyed it, you know? I love the scenery there, the food, the culture. I shot a movie in New Orleans a while back and I’ve always loved Louisiana. So getting to go back there was kind of nice. What was really nice about it was it was so warm there. We went up to Canada and it was freezing cold so it was a little bit of a treat to be able to walk on set in a t-shirt or go to dinners.MH: Did you have the opportunity to make it back to New Orleans?
PF: I did. My family came into town and I took them to New Orleans and we had a good time. I think I tweeted a picture…there was an old photography place where we walked in to like a costume place where you could put on some old New Orleans garb and take a picture like an old time photo. So the kids had a lot of fun with that and I took the kids to Bourbon Street during the day, as they were hosing down the streets, and my little daughter said, “Why do they hose down the streets?” I said, “Because grown-ups throw up on it all night long.” She was like, “Dad, you can’t take me here ever again.”

WONKA®, the maker of Nerds®, Laffy Taffy® and SweeTarts® candy, is putting an extraordinarily whimsical spin on Halloween this year. Ahead of October 31, WONKA is turning Halloween into a WONKAfied multi-day celebration – not just one day, not even one month, but “32 Days of WonkaWeen.” Illustrating how Willy Wonka would do Halloween, WonkaWeen will unleash 32 days of imaginative treats in the real world and online from October 1 to November 1.
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1”
To kick off the candy-filled celebration, WONKA today revealed the ultimate WonkaWeen Halloween house, having decorated the home of actor Peter Facinelli, known for playing ‘Carlisle Cullen’ in the “The Twilight Saga” hit movies and ‘Fitch Cooper’ in “Nurse Jackie.” Facinelli is married to actress Jennie Garth; the couple has three daughters, Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5. Facinelli, set to next appear in the highly anticipated “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1,” today welcomed the Halloween season with his family at their Southern California estate, which was transformed by the pure imagination of WONKA.
“My wife and I grew up with the world of WONKA, and we are so excited to bring this one-of-a-kind, whimsical experience to our daughters this Halloween,” said Facinelli. “WONKA represents wonder, imagination and fun, and our entire family is thrilled Willy Wonka himself chose us for this special makeover at our home.”
Decorations on the Facinelli family home exterior and front yard were unveiled this week, as WONKA turned the sprawling one-story, ranch-style property into a whimsical “spook-tacular” sight. Complete with WONKA candy decorations, lights, fog and scent machines, spider webs, and candy cauldrons, the home’s front yard was taken over by real and larger-than-life SweeTarts®, Nerds®, Everlasting Gobstoppers®, Nerds® Ropes, and more WONKA treats. Exclusive images of the WONKAfied Facinelli family house will be available for viewing online at Facebook.com/Wonka.

Taylor continues his international press swing for Abduction and talks Breaking Dawn along a the way. On just a side note the language person in my finds it interesting that Abuduction was translated differently in Spain than Mexico. In Mexico it was Sin Escape (literally without Escape) but in Spain it’s Sin Salida (Without Exit).
MTV’s Hollywood Crush has just picked out ten actors who they consider to be the biggest rising stars. Many of them already have done some impressive work, but now MTV feels that they are poised to shoot up to an entirely new level. Jamie Campbell Bower is on the list. Check it out and vote here.

Guri Weinberg’s GFYS story has become infamous. (If you don’t know what it is, Google it, but warning it’s not PG-13) In any case Guri had something of a epiphany about quitting smoking and GFYS. The long and short of it is a charity is now born.
According to Guri’s blog here is how it all started.
I am quitting smoking. I use the verb in it’s present tense because I still don’t feel entirely comfortable using the past tense. I have fallen off the non-smoking wagon so many times in my life that it may ALWAYS seem like a process. For anyone contemplating smoking – just slap yourself for me. Detoxing when you stop is just ridiculously uncomfortable.
And, you know, you miss it. More accurately, you miss the social aspects.
On Breaking Dawn, I would generally find Rob Pattinson already smoking when I’d go outside to sneak a few puffs in. We would generally start chatting about whatever, he’d get fired up about whatever we were discussing and he would then generally finish his cigarette and ask for one of mine. He’d light another one and we’d keep talking. Then I’d light another one. We would chain smoke if there was a long enough break on set. I hate to say that’s how we got to know each other but that’s how we got to know each other. As shooting went on, I was smoking a LOT. Getting sick, looking tired, yada, yada, yada. So, I started my daily rant that my wife is ALL too familiar with through many attempts to quit – ” I gotta stop smoking”.
Rob looks at me and says, “You know, I heard that if you quit before you’re 30 you’re in the clear, health-wise.”
Since I am passed 30, that doesn’t seem too good.
“Hey, Rob. I’m over 30.”
He just looks at me totally non-plussed. “I know.”
Silence. I’m waiting for the “but”…it’s not coming.
“Well, aren’t you just a ray of sunshine. Do me a favor – Go f*** yourself.”
He’s laughing hard now. He keeps trying to talk but he’s laughing too hard. Feigning intense indignation, I get up to go to my room.
“Listen, man. I gotta go. Costco has a sale on caskets right now and obviously it’s a matter of minutes AT MY AGE.”
Now, he’s having trouble breathing, he’s laughing so hard. But, I’m still thinking…man…I have been smoking for way too long.
So, I am quitting. Again. Not too unusual for me. What IS unusual is what I poured that excess energy into.
Ever since I blogged the GFYS story, my website blew up with all the traffic to the “GFYS” blog with over a million hits. Fans have really taken the ball and ran with it. I see fans on Twitter telling one another to “GFYS”, telling other cast members to “GFYS” and, naturally, I get several “GFYS” on a daily basis. That gave my wife and I an idea. How about we combine “GFYS” with smaller, local charities that really get overlooked when it comes to donations. Would people GFTS for charity? I must admit that the visual of people saying that they FTS for charity makes me laugh until I cry but there is also that charitable aspect. Just so people don’t think I am only in it for the #GFYSLaugh…
There’s a whole lot more involved here. Check out the rest on Guri’s site.
The merchandise that he is selling for charity is here.
