Bruno Mars Says “It Will Rain” Shows the Darker Side of Love
As fans wait with baited breath for Sept 26 and the full list of songs on the Breaking Dawn part 1 soundtrack, Billboard.com wets our appetite even more with a taste of what Bruno Mars will contribute. “It Will Rain,” the first single from the album, will be released on Sept 27, and fans should prepare for something darker and heavier than a traditional love song.
Mars says that “the ‘Twilight’ movies for me (are) a love story. But it’s a dark love story. And I think the best way to describe the song is: it’s the darker side of love. I think that pretty much sums it up.”
“It Will Rain” “started off with me and the guitar,” Mars says, “and I just had this melody in my head and basically laid it down after I saw the film.”
When asked if he would be interested in working with Robert Pattenson on a song, Mars said “Why not? I’m down for anyone that wants to work and thinks I can contribute.”
But the all important Twilight question is, of course, is he Team Edward or Team Jacob? Mars joked, “You know what? I’m Team Bella all day.”

Jack Morrissey Tweets a Few Breaking Dawn Secrets!
Bill Condon’s partner took to twitter the other day and answered a few questions about Breaking Dawn. Here a few of the highlights:
Q: Will wee see Bella’s Mercedes Guardian in the movie?
A: No, we go straight to the Cullen house. Sorry! One of those scenes that doesn’t serve an overall movie story pace.
Q: Is the scene where B&E announce their wedding to Charlie in the movie?
A: Yeah sort of — you’ve seen it already. He’ll (Charlie) will make you cry TWICE in part 1. You’ll be very happy with the scenes and Billy has never been better. He rocked it. (Then later…) You will love his wedding toast.
Q: One thing I’ve missed in the series is the emphasis on Alice’s and Bella’s friendship! That has been lacking.
A: Well, you won’t be missing that anymore, believe me.

Shannon Hale Talks Filming “Austenland” and Working With Stephenie Meyer
Deseret News has an interview with Shannon Hale about the process of watching her book “Austenland” be transforms into a film. Shannon is a long time friend of Stephenie Meyer and interviewed Stephenie for a segment in The Official Guide to the Twilight Saga. In this new interview, Shannon mentions how her relationship with Stephenie led into the filming of “Austenland.”
Hale remembers talking with friend and fellow author Stephenie Meyer a few years ago while she was involved with the filming of the first “Twilight” movie.
“I could hear it in her voice that she was really enjoying it (the process),” Hale said. So Hale suggested Meyer look into producing movies. Meyer responded that if she were to go into the business, “Austenland” would be the first movie she’d do.
Hale said they laughed about it, remarking at that time “of course it’ll never happen.”
But Hale just spent much of her summer in England.
“It was a crazy series of events as it always is for anything like this to happen,” Hale said.
Hale just happened to have a copy of her book with her one day, “and I never carry my books around with me,” she interjected, when she met up with Jerusha Hess, who’s co-written movies with her husband, Jared Hess of the “Napoleon Dynamite” fame.
Jerusha Hess emailed Hale shortly after reading the book and told her she wanted to make a movie out of it — this being her directorial debut. Meyer called Hale the very next day to tell her she wanted to produce “Austenland.”
With that serendipitous take off, the trio embarked on an adventure Hale lovingly referred to as “three chicks making a movie.”
The article goes on to describe what it was like for Shannon on set as well as her future plans. You can read the full story here.
Shannon’s next book “Midnight in Austenland” is a sequel to “Austenland” with a new main character and a darker feel to the story. As fans of Shannon’s and of Jane Austen, we are very excited for this film and for the new book. We will be interviewing Shannon very soon and are interested to know any questions you might have for her! If you have a great question for Shannon, leave us a comment and we might use it in our interview!

Taylor Lautner Would Do Twilight Over Again, No Second Thoughts
As the interviews with Taylor Lautner for Abduction continue, Taylor continues to get questions about the Twilight franchise. Fortunately for us he has no regrets.
Q. You were pretty young when you got “Twilight.” I’m wondering if you had a chance to do it all over again, would you take the blue pill? In other words, is the fame worth the loss of privacy?
A. I absolutely would do it again. I could not be more grateful to that franchise. It’s given all of us the opportunity to do other things. Frankly, I wouldn’t be doing “Abduction” if it weren’t for “Twilight.”
Q. It’s never a drag?
A. I wouldn’t call it a drag. There are pros and cons to everything. There are cons, like the paparazzi following you, but the cons are so minor compared to the pros.
Q. Are there any mixed feelings about having two more “Twilight” movies coming out while you’ve already moved on to another phase of your career?
A. I kind of love it. The three of us have been able to work on a “Twilight” movie and then work on something else in between, so we’re used to this. We go into “Twilight” mode, and then go out of “Twilight” mode.
Q. What is “Twilight” mode for you?
A. It’s just becoming Jacob Black. After five movies, it’s easy to get into his shoes.
Q. When you started the “Twilight” journey, did you imagine how big it might become?
A. We literally thought it was a small indie movie.
Q. So you guys weren’t thinking you were walking into the next “Batman” franchise?
A. Not at all. We never expected anything. It wasn’t at a huge studio. It wasn’t a huge budget. There weren’t any huge stars. We loved the movie and hoped that some people would see it.
Q. Describe the moment when you knew you had hit the jackpot?
A. Comic-con was the first moment that we realized this wasn’t your average movie. It was about three months before the movie opened. We walked into this auditorium, and there was this enormous roar of 7,000 people. We freaked out. We were so scared. This was the first time we experienced anything like that, and it was the moment we wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. And it doubled for “New Moon,” and that blew us away again. It just kept getting bigger and bigger.
Q. Let me reverse an earlier question about bittersweet feelings about the franchise continuing for two more films. Is it scary for you to let go of the safety of the franchise?
A. No, not really. I’m off doing other things, and I try to take it one moment at a time.
Q. I hope you have tremendous success in your new ventures, but what if you only experience modest success. Can you handle that?
A. You have to tell yourself that “Twilight” is “Twilight,” and nothing is going to be like that. That is a phenomenon that rarely happens, and I realize that. You have to accept that, or you’ll go crazy the rest of your career.
Q. You’re still only 19. Do you think you’ve missed out on anything because of your career?
A. Not as much as you might think. I have the same life I had before, but then I get to peek into this other world, and travel all over and make movies. I still have the same friends, and spend lots of time with my family.
Q. Can you go out on the street and grab a taco?
A. It might be interesting (laughs). We all insist that we don’t want to change our lives because of this “Twilight” thing, but you do have to make adjustments. You simply have to ask yourself: “When would be the best time to go to dinner, and where would be the best place to go?” But you don’t let it change your life.
Q. One final question: Will the fans be happy with the final two episodes of “Twilight?
A. They will be beyond happy. It’s the same franchise, but way different than anything they’ve seen before.
