Taylor Lautner Talks With E! About Abduction and Breaking Dawn
According to Marc Malken at E! “f you think Taylor Lautner’s next movie, Abduction, is just an action flick, think again.
There’s romance, people.
“I call it an action-drama-thriller-romance,” the Twilight star told me yesterday at MTV’s VMAs. “It’s got everything.”
Including getting up close and personal with his leading lady, Lily Collins.
“There is an intense steamy scene,” Lautner said.
But naked they are not. “Not quite,” he said. “But it does get steamy.”
Jackson Rathbone Flying on Zipline For Fundraiser
According to the Las Vegas Sun, “Jackson Rathbone, Jasper in the Twilight films, helped raise money for the Fender Music Foundation and a grant for music programs here in Las Vegas over the weekend at the zip-line attraction Flightlinez downtown. Jackson zip-lined through Fremont Street Experience for charity and then joined his band 100 Monkeys for a free performance for fans. These guys are really the best, as you can tell from my recent interview with them before a performance at the Cosmopolitan. The event raised $15,000.”
New Breaking Dawn Still
Good Luck Andrew Sims With Hypable
We’ve always been really candid about the fact that we are big Harry Potter fans around here. Lori and Laura used to have a small Harry Potter website devoted to Remus Lupin. When it came time to make the Twilight Lexicon we looked to what we considered to be the best of the Harry Potter sites to model the Lexicon on. Very specifically, those sites were the Harry Potter Lexicon, The Leaky Caldron, and last but not least Mugglenet.
Much of the style of news coverage that we do on the Lexicon was directly based on what we saw Mugglenet do. We learned blogging etiquette from them on how much to quote, and that you should link to the source for more info. We stayed out of casting frays because we watched Mugglenet successfully avoid the “Ewan McGregor should have been Lupin” debacle. We modeled our actor Q & A style and red carpet coverage from what they did. Even our podcasting (back when we did it) was based on what they did. If Mugglenet started to use a piece of technology, we checked it out.
When Andrew started his Twilight site Imprint Podcast/Twilight Source 3 years ago, we totally geeked out when he contacted us. We have done a couple of live Podcasts with the site that were largely organized by Andrew and Kallie from Twilight Series Theories. The photo below is of a New Moon Premiere live event that had over 100,000 folks on Facebook alone watching.
For the most part, the “face of Mugglenet and Twilight Source” as it pertained to the items above was Andrew Sims. Today, Andrew posted on Mugglenet that after seven years he is leaving to pursue full-time his new website named Hypable (it’s only been around a couple of months and already it’s making quite a splash). Hypable covers a variety of fandoms from Games of Thrones, to Glee, to Doctor Who, to Vampire Diaries, to American Idol…you name it. It’s different because the staff covering the fandoms are fans of what they cover. So it’s only the best stories with no recycled rehash so check it out. We want to wish Andrew the best of luck and thank him for what he’s done for fandom in general.
Twilight Convention Coming to Los Angeles
The above graphic is now appearing on the Official Twilight Convention site. No details yet on who is appearing which day or what package options are. This falls in line with what has traditionally been press junket weekend for the fall-release Twilight Saga movies. Most of the stars will presumably be in town for that. At the last convention that matched up against a press junket weekend most of the Cullens, half of the Volturi, The entire Wolfpack, most of the Humans, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart showed up for Q & A’s with the audience. There were a variety of pricing packages that included photos, autographs, and meet and greets with various actors.

Tinsel Korey Talks Breaking Dawn on Moviefone
Moviefone sat down with Tinsel Korey to talk about Breaking Dawn and her upcoming projects.
“You know her as Emily, Sam’s beautifully scarred fiancé in the ‘Twilight’ movies, but you probably wouldn’t recognize Tinsel Korey walking down the street. While her ‘Twilight’ co-stars are constantly fawned over by diehard fans, Korey says that she can walk around incognito, since her character is somewhat disguised by the bangs and the scar.
Beyond ‘Twilight,’ Korey is best known as an indie movie queen. She garnered accolades for her role as Blue Girl in Carl Bessai’s ‘Unnatural & Accidental.’ She’s poised to wow audiences again in ‘Stained,’ which is being released on DVD on August 30. This time around, she channels her inner dark side to play a schizophrenic serial killer.
Despite all of her serious roles, Korey is actually quite a goofball. She’ll have a chance to showcase her silly side in the upcoming flick ‘Fishing Naked,’ which costars her ‘Twilight’ buddy Bronson Pelletier. Moviefone caught up with the Canadian-born, LA-based actress to get the lowdown on shooting ‘Breaking Dawn,’ learning stunts from Kevin Sorbo and why she was hand-picked to play a killer.”
