Rob Pattinson Makes GQ’s Most Stylish Men of 2012 List

It’s the end of the year and that means lists, lists, and more lists!  GQ’s list of the 25 Most Stylish Men is sure to be a hit with the ladies.  Rob came in at number six this year behind Ewan McGreggor, Bruno Mars, David Beckham, Zac Effron, and Daniel Craig.  Here is what they had to say about Rob’s fashion:

Pattinson’s year was spent crisscrossing the globe in promotion of three flicks, giving the actor plenty of opportunities to break out his preferred Gucci suits, which he did in rapid, colorful succession. But it’s not just tonal suit and shirt pairings the now former vampire got right; his grunge 2.0 getups have us wondering how much flannel we’ll see on the Fall ’13 runways.

Robert Pattinson: E! Celeb of the Year

For the third year in a row, Robert Pattinson has beat out other top name celebrities such as Ian Somerhalder, Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Gosling, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, and even Kristen Stewart to become E!’s celeb of the year. E! sites the actor’s hair and fashion, his massive fan base, and his ability to remain poised during interviews about the scandal that shook the Twilight fandom as reasons why he won this year. The article also reminds us that just because Twilight is over, that doesn’t mean Rob is going to be any less active in the movie industry. His upcoming films include The Rover, Queen of The Desert, Mission: Blacklist, Hold On To Me, and Maps.

Kristen Stewart Talks to USA Today

As part of her promotion for On The Road, Kristen was interviewed by USA Today.  The article has several comments from other celebs, such as best friend Dakota Fanning,  about Kristen and her personality.  As usually, Kristen only opens up about her own personal life as much as she wants to.  She had this to say about what the public thinks they know about her:

“People think they knew a lot about me before. They know even less now,” she says. “People will project whatever. It’s a huge form of entertainment. As soon as you step outside your own life and look at it like that and think that you can shape something — you need to live your life. I’m just going to live my life, actually.”

Kristen also had this to say about her work with the Twilight Saga:

“I never felt stuck in that. Not at all,” she says. “I had so many opportunities in the midst of that to do a million things. If it kept me from doing other things, I still wouldn’t resent it. You start a project to finish it. I was eager to get back and finish the story.”

Merry Christmas Stephenie Meyer style from the Twilight Lexicon

Christmas

On behalf of the entire staff of the Twilight Lexicon, we wish all our readers Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Back in 2005, before everyone knew about Twilight, because it had only been on bookshelves about three months, Stephenie Meyer wrote an article for Ensign Magazine about the spirit of Christmas. It has become the Lexicon’s traditional Christmas post.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Nearing $800 million World Wide

Thank to Box Office Mojo, we can take a very clean look at the numbers for the five films in the Twilight Saga.  Even though Breaking Dawn Part 2 hasn’t yet reached the domestic numbers that New Moon reached, world wide BD2 has demolished the previous four films!  Breaking Dawn Part 1 had the highest take with $712 million.  But Breaking Dawn part 2 is very close to reaching the $800 million mark… and it’s still in theatres!

Even with big films like The Hobbit, Lincoln, and Skyfall opening, Breaking dawn part 2 is still #4 at the box office.  We’re guessing it will stay in the top ten through New Years.  Even with films like Les Mis coming out, it’s our bet that Twilight Fans will venture into the theatre for the film one last time before it’s gone for good.  Do you have plans to see the film one last time over the holiday?  Let us know in the comments!

Ashley Greene in 17 Magazine

17 Magazine has six new photos of Ashley Greene along with a few short comments from the star about her love life and filming Breaking Dawn.  Ashley confirms the dance off sequence that we’ve all heard so much about.  She also comments on Rob and Kristen’s relationship and how it might affect the film.

“Hopefully it won’t taint [the movie]and people will still be able to enjoy it. I think a lot of people see us as our characters. I really want them to still be able to do that.”

Obviously it hasn’t hurt the film given how well it’s doing at the box office.  You can read the whole story and see all the images at 17 Magazine.

New Austenland Photo

EW has this in their first look section

Yes, those are cell phones at a croquet game. Premiering at Sundance in January, Austenland follows modern-day Jane Hayes (Keri Russell) to a theme resort in search of love. Director Jerusha Hess (who co-wrote Napoleon Dynamite) says Russell’s character ”doesn’t know what’s real.” She adds that Jennifer Coolidge and Bret McKenzie costar, and that Jane Seymour’s character, Mrs. Wattlesbrook, ”holds the comedy in her clutches and is the evil mastermind behind this crazy resort.’

The film will make its debut at Sundance and according to EW Keri Russell will be there.

Austenland is the very first film being produced by Stephenie Meyer’s production company Fickle Fish Films.
