Stephenie Meyer Talks End of Breaking Dawn and More With MTV

A lot of the questions that fans have been dying to know are in this interview.

MTV: Kellan Lutz recently said there’s a special bonus scene during the credits. What can you say about that?

Meyer: That’s actually incorrect. What they’ve been talking about will be in DVD extras I assume but it’s not in the credits. There is no extra scene.

MTV: Of course the fans are very excited to see Kristen’s interpretation of Bella as a vampire at last.

Meyer: It’s subtle and yet kind of amazing. She’s very self-possessed the way she holds herself. She’s a completely different kind of character.

MTV: Meanwhile Robert Pattinson has been describing the vampire sex in the film as “ridiculous” in recent interviews.

Meyer: Yeah I saw that. I think he was talking about how it was so hard to keep a straight face [during that scene]. For the actors, there are 40 people in the room and most of them are inches away from you. It’s a kind of awkward menage-a-forty going on. I think when you see the scene it’s a testament to their acting ability that you don’t see any of that in that moment at all.

Video: New Clip “Welcome Home”

Here is a new clip from Breaking Dawn Part 2 hosted by EW called “Welcome Home” where Bella sees the cottage for the first time.

Just as a funny story to add to this, my daughter watched this clip over my shoulder.  She’s 8 and knows just enough about the Twilight Saga, but not all the more adult details.  (And she’s MAJOR Team Jacob, By the way.)  Anyway, after watching this clip she said, “Wait… vampires don’t sleep?”  I said, “Nope!”  And she said, “Well, at least they can lay down on the bed and rest!” Oh… if only she knew!

E! Does Twilight History: Robert Pattinson Meet Edward Cullen

E1 is doing a whole Twilight retrospective over the years. Ccheck out this bit on Robert Pattinson:

In the summer of 2007, unfamiliar with the Twilight books, if not the debate over who was the most worthy Edward, Pattinson was off the Hollywood grid.

“I was going to quit [acting] because I never got any jobs,” he would recall on Today, “so I guess it’s not really quitting when you’re not getting jobs—it’s just surrendering to fate.”

At the end of the year, however, Pattinson was in Los Angeles, and while he wasn’t exactly keen on Edward Cullen, he was game. He agreed to read with the actress who’d been cast as Bella.

And everything changed.

Check out the rest of Edward history here and what they had to say on Stephenie Meyer here.
