Isle Esme House in Brazil In Danger of Destruction

Blog TwiBrasil tipped us off to this one. It seems that the house where they shot Breaking Dawn’s honeymoon scenes is in an environmentally protected area, and may have to come down. Read the original Portuguese and the translation on Blog TwiBrasil.

Hopefully all the footage shot there is fine because reshoots on that location are not looking good as of now.

Probable Cullen Backyard Set Located

New vampires, like Judi Shekoni who plays Zafrina, have tweeted that they are shortly inbound to Vancouver. Others like Denali Clan members Mia Maestro, and Myanna Buring are already in town.

Check out more pictures and details here.  What do you think are the filming possibilities?

Stunt Gear Being Tested at the Bella’s House Location

Previously we told you about preparations at the Bella’s house location outside of Vancouver. The house had been decked out in Christmas decorations, which would coincide with the picture director Bill Condon released at Christmastime.  Now it seems there is a team testing out rigging that would be used to seemingly do the enter Bella’s window trick.

The last time this rigging was used was back in New Moon when Taylor Lautner, and not a stunt double, entered the upper window using the rigging. There’s lots of speculation as to what scene this is in prep for, and exactly who will be doing the window entering/exiting.   Check out the Newsflic blog for more photos and speculation.

Peter Facinelli Comments on Vampire Viagra

Now if that wasn’t a headline to catch your attention, nothing will, 🙂

Peter Facinelli was on Access Hollywood Live earlier today and here is what he had to say when co-hosts Kit Hoover and Billy Bush pushed him for details on Breaking Dawn.

“Just give us a small nugget for all the Twi-hards…something like, is there vampire sex?”  Kit Hoover asked Peter when she stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Friday.

“Well, yeah, for sure,” Peter joked. “Not for Carlisle, he’s 350!”

“Viagra can’t even help him at that point!” Billy Bush added.

“Vampire Viagra,” Peter said with a laugh.

The actor, who also stars on Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie,” is excited for the plot developments in the upcoming “Breaking Dawn” movies, which will be released in two separate parts.

“We have baby vampires, lots of fun stuff going on in that movie,” he told Billy and Kit. “Eclipse was my favorite book, but I think ‘Breaking Dawn’ is my favorite script. I really like what they did with them. There’s a lot of fun surprises for the audience.

Jacob’s House Set Being Prepped for Breaking Dawn Filming

Mandy took a trip to the Jacob’s house location which is located at the intersection of two public roads. We giggled when Mandy described this part because we have been to the area and it’s so true.

“They have added the fire wood, boat buoys, the Black mailbox and other details. There is no ocean nearby this actual location, so it’s funny when they add boats, crab traps (which they did for the previous two movies) and all the boating and fishing props. They seem so obviously out of place, but perfect touches for the movies.”

Check out more photos and details on Mandy’s blog.

Breaking Dawn Cast Starts to Arrive in Vancouver

The Breaking Dawn Cast started to arrive in Vancouver over the weekend. According to People:

“The cast of Twilight is once again converging on the Canadian city, this time to film the Breaking Dawn films, with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arriving together on Monday…Three other cast members arrived Sunday night on the same flight – Mia Maestro, who plays the vampire Carmen; Myanna Buring, who plays Tanya; and Mackenzie Foy, the 10-year-old newcomer who plays the daughter of Edward and Bella Cullen.

More arrivals are expected as the week goes on.”

One reporter new to the Vancouver scene, who is a Twilight fan, asked MacKenzie Foy for her autograph(seen left video below).  You have to love the newbieness of this particular reporter who seemed stunned that her encounter would end up on a fansite after she Tweeted about it using a Breaking Dawn hash tag on Twitter.  Tweeting with regulars who cover Vancouver  and using a Breaking Dawn hash tag wasn’t exactly low profile. It’s sort of like running into the middle of Times Square waving a huge “I love Twilight banner” and screaming “I’m here” into a megaphone and then expecting no one to notice…subtle it’s not. She just started a new blog about her relatively new career. Check it out here.

There’s also a video of her encounter. MacKenzie’s mom was there as well as security and they didn’t seem to mind the video camera so we are posting the footage.

Speculation is that location is Bella and Edward’s cottage. Photos were taken from nearby public property. Get a photo and a link to more details under the cut. [Read more…]

Breaking Dawn Actors on a Brief Break Before Moving to Vancouver

Production is moving North next week to Vancouver and the surrounding areas.  You can expect to see the members of the wolfpack/Quileute Tribe in town. The majority of this group did not film in Baton Rouge. So look for  Taylor Lautner, Chaske Spencer, Julia Jones, Tinsel Korey, Bronson Pelletier, Kiowa Gordon, Tyson Houseman, Booboo Stewart, Alex Rice, and Gil Birmingham to be in town.

Other members of the cast will be in Vancouver too. Based on Tweets from cast members,  it looks like the Cullens are heading north, along with Billy Burke, Kristen Stewart and a few of the new vampires (Judi Shekoni, Mia Maestro, and Erik Odom both have tweets that seem to indicate that they are going to be in Vancouver).

Others have wrapped their scenes and are not going to Vancouver, at least for filming both Dan Cudmore and Cameron Bright indicated that they are done. However, since they actually live in Vancouver, expect to see them in town. So based on that, and the fact that Jamie Campbell Bower and Michael Sheen seem to be back in England/Ireland for other projects, we’re going to take a guess that the Volturi and people connected to them  such as Amadou Ly are done.

Also apparently wrapped on the project are our favorite humans: Michael Welch, Christian Serratos, Justin Chon, and Anna Kendrick.

Preparations continue in and around Vancouver. Bella’s House has all but been finished in its reconstruction. As of the other day, Christmas decorations were added to the front. This would go along with both the books and the photo released in December indicating that Charlie’s house was decorated for Christmas with new girlfriend Sue Clearwater helping out. Odds are we can expect Billy Burke, Alex Rice, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and MacKenzie Foy at that location. However, crowds are usually kept down the road  and around the block on filming days, so the chances of seeing the actual filming are not high. If intrepid observers are lucky, they may get a “drive-by” with actors waving out open windows. Check out a collection of photos of the Bella’s House location here.

Why Didn’t Twilight Get Filmed in Washington State or Forks?

We get asked this question all the time in our email and at the Twilight Conventions. Part of the reason is that Forks is so remote and small that the support services needed to house an entire filming crew for months weren’t there. The other part is that Washington State doesn’t make it easy on filming company’s budgets. The more a company has to pay to be at a certain location, the less money they have for post-production things like CGI, 3-D, etc.

The Northwest News has an comparison in incentives in the Pacfic Northwest. The numbers really speak for themselves. Washington is losing money to Oregon and British Columbia (AKA Vancouver) because they aren’t keeping pace.

“BC [British Columbia]set aside $40 million in incentives for 2011. Oregon may give away up to $12.5 million. Washington is only scheduled to provide $4 million in incentives.

British Columbia appears to be getting a significant bang for its buck. There were 239 film and television productions in BC in 2009, and Washington only had 14.
“We need to keep our vampires, our Washington state vampires,” says Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles, D-Seattle, about the movie “Twilight.”  The 2008 movie, based in Forks, was shot largely in Oregon and BC.”

So why did much of breaking Dawn film in Louisiana? Answer: great money incentives and a fantastic facility in the Celtic Media Center.
