Tickets For Twilight Showing After Comic Con

There was some confusion today when apparently Fandango started selling tickets for the Twilight Showing happening at the Gaslamp in San Diego and they just as suddenly stopped selling the tickets and folks got a sold out message.  It was all the more baffling because the tickets weren’t even supposed to be on sale yet. Not to worry, our friends over at Twilighters Anonymous got to the bottom of it.

Quoted with permission:

“Good news, Twilighters. If you haven’t gotten your tickets for the special Twilight screening after Comic Con, no worries, there are still some available. There was some confusion earlier surrounding ticket sales, but we’ve got all the details and are hoping to clear up any remaining questions. Earlier today, a slight glitch in the system allowed Fandango to make the Twilight screening tickets available for sale, but the option was removed shortly thereafter and now reads that the tickets are sold out.

In short: the ticket purchase option was removed for the time being but will be available again starting Monday. If you are in the San Diego area and would like to purchase hard copy tickets for the event, you may do so starting Monday. If you aren’t in the area or would just like to purchase online, you can also do that starting Monday on Fandango’s website.

An important note, however: if you’ve purchased your tickets on Fandango, you will have until Thursday at 1pm to pick them up in person. After 1pm, the box office at the theater will close down and you will be unable to retrieve your hard copy ticket. If you neglect to pick up your hard copy tickets – even if you present your printed confirmation page at the event – you will be denied admission.

You can purchase your tickets (starting Monday) here on Fandango’s website

Melissa Rosenberg at Comic Con

Add Melissa Rosenberg to the list of those attending Comic Con. Currently, according to Shock Till You Drop, she’s attending the Dexter panel on Thursday:

Moderator Ralph Garman (KROQ Entertainment Reporter) presides over a revealing interview and Q&A session with the stars and executive producers of Dexter. Plus, get an exclusive first look at clips from the new season! Featured panelists include series star/executive producer Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Julie Benz (Rita), Jennifer Carpenter (Deb), and executive producers John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Clyde Phillips, and Melissa Rosenberg. The new season premieres September 27 at 9:00 PM EST/PST only on Showtime! Ballroom 20″

Comic Con Schedule Revealed.

The organizers of Comic Con just released the master schedule for the four-day event. The Twilight panel will take place as previously announced on Thursday, July 23rd.

****Note Time Change**** The panel will be held in Hall H at 1:45.

For those of you who are Comic Con newbies, remember that a Comic Con ticket guarantees you entrance to the building on a given day, but not necessarily a particular presentation. It’s first come first served. So get to the hall early and stay there if you want to be guaranteed to see the Twilight Saga: New Moon panel.

Comic Con Attendee Recap

There’s been a lot in the news lately as to who is and isn’t attending Comic Con.  Below is a recap of what we know so far and what the source is. Keep in mind however that this could all change if an actor’s schedule changes, or even if the traffic on the Interstate out of LA is a nightmare. Last year Dakota Fanning pretty much missed all of her Push panel because of getting stuck in traffic.

Jamie Campbell-Bower: Confirmed as being there on Friday as part of the AMC’s highly anticipated mini-series “The Prisoner’s” panel. Confirmation via AMC press release. Unknown if he will be part of the New Moon panel on Thursday.

Billy Burke: Confirmed via his Twitter that he would be there, but didn’t specify the date.

Rachelle LeFevere: Confirmed via her Twitter that she would be there, but didn’t specify the date.

Robert Pattinson:Confirmed he will be there via a call to his management placed by Spunk Ransom website’s Twitter.

Taylor Lautner: Confirmed he will be there via his publicst to Taylor Lautner Daily.com

Comic Con Podcast Event

The Pel and Be My Escape ( Laura and Jen) will be taking part in a Comic Con Week podcast at Borders.  Twilight Series Theories is organizing the event which will feature fansite operators from Imprint/Twilight Source, Twilight Moms, Cullen Boys Anonymous, Twilighters Anonymous, and His Golden Eyes .

We can’t give away all the special guest details yet, but it will be a great event.

*You must have a wristband to attend this event. Beginning at 10:00 AM on the day of the event, free wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Special guests will sign one Twilight-related item—purchased at the store—as time permits. Date and time subject to change. Contact the store for details and event guidelines or go to
Borders.com.*

Comic Con Tally

We are getting a lot of questions regarding which Twilight Saga actors are going to be at Comic Con. The answer is honestly we don’t know.  It’s also the type of thing that can change if someone’s filming schedule revises, not to mention if they get stuck in traffic on the I-5 like Dakota Fanning did last year.

Here’s what we know so far based on actors stating they will be there either in interviews or on Twitter:

Rachelle Lefevre
Billy Burke

Also since we realize that a lot of people who are going are Comic Con newbies, here are some really handy tips. This set gives you some tips from a seasoned pro.

Borders Merchandise & San Diego Event

Borders will be having the next round of Twilight Saga Merchandise hit their stores this week.

According to Borders, The price for their trading cards is $3.99 each packet.  There are 72 base cards, randomly inserted bonus cards feature: 9 ALWAYS cards, 6 DIFFERENT cards, 3 IN PURSUIT cards.

Also if Lauren’s Bite has inspired you to want a Pocket Edward of your own, the Bella and Edward two pack is available in Borders for $39.99 while supplies last. We believe it also comes with a Cullen Crest bonus.

Also, speaking of Borders, we have something very awesome coming up with them. We are still working out the details, but Alphie, Pel, and Be My Escape (AKA Lori, Laura, & Jen) will all be at Comic Con in San Diego this year. After the Comic Con panel is over there is going to be an awesome event at a nearby Borders. Details coming as the event gets closer.

The event will not only feature our site but also Kimmy from His Golden Eyes, Kara “Team Switzerland” from Twilighters Anonymous, Matt and Andrew from Twilight Source/Imprint Podcast, Kallie and Kassie from Twilight Series Theories. Kudos to Kallie for being our organizational genius. If you haven’t checked out a TST podcast, make sure you do. Kallie and Kassie are just the right mix of sass and fun.

Comic Con’s Most Wanted

Hit Fix is wondering what star/movie is going to rule this year at Comic Con ( as if there is any doubt).

They mention Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, and Megan Fox. So what do you think? Is the New Moon panel going to be the biggest event there, or is there serious competition from Megan and Transformers?
