Vancity Allie Attends Theatre Shoot

The interior scenes for the movie theater segments were shot a couple of weeks ago at the Ridge Theater and Bowling Alley complex. Last night, they did the exterior shots at a movie theater that had a more traditional look. Kristen Stewart, Mike Welch, Anna Kendrick, and Taylor Lautner were all in attendance.

“They[Anna and Kristen] both looked beautiful. Kristen as “Bella” was wearing a dark coat, with a blue hoodie and a casual shirt underneath, with blue jeans and Nike sneakers. A likely Bella costume! Anna as “Jessica” was wearing a very cute houndstooth pattern brown jacket with pockets, with a pink, coral and white shirts underneath. I like the necklace they chose for her. Blue jeans as well.”

Ashley Greene Looks Forward to Italy

Access Hollywood caught up with Ashley Greene at an event that supported her favorite charity, Donate My Dress. Ashley arrived with a unique accessory. Perhaps she’s taking a page out of Paris Hilton’s book, because the accessory was her dog.

New Moon Shoots At Local Pool

Both Vancity Allie and Twilight Gossip have coverage of a one-day shoot at a local pool. The assumption is that they used it to film part of the cliff diving scene given the looming presence of green screens that are the size of a small apartment building.

They would then put in the footage they shot almost a month ago of the British Columbia coastline ( reported as South Beach, located near Wickaninnish Beach inside Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and Incinerator Rock at Long Beach) post-production. Both Kristen and Taylor were on the site. There was no reported sign of other members of the wolf pack.

Taylor and Kristen missed attending anything associated with the DVD release because they were off filming the beach portion of the cliff diving scene during some really awful weather.

We really hope they heated the water for Taylor Lautner who came out, wet hair and all, to sign fan autographs.

You Can’t Make Everybody Happy

A student from David Thompson Secondary School in Vancouver has written a letter to the editor of the Vancouver Sun in which she responds to this article about a fans from Nashville who traveled to Vancouver in the hopes of meeting the cast.

The student talks about the inconvenience of having the film crew around  which created traffic jams in the hallways and in getting to campus.

“It seemed pretty cool at first, but when you mix in the hottest celebrities with a horrible film crew, the school turns into chaos. Closing the cafeteria for two days, taking over the foyer and forcing students to make detours and stop dead in our tracks during our break and lunch because they were filming a big-shot movie was not cool.”

Last year when Twilight was filmed at Kalama High School ( a school in a very small town just outside of Portland) the production company paid a reported $29,500 plus an additional undisclosed sum to the school district.  There is no word on how much money was paid to the David Thompson Secondary School and/or the local school board for the current use of the facility.

Vancity Allie Meets the Entire New Moon Cast

The Vancity Allie blogger waited for hours in the dead of night outside of the area where the birthday scene was being filmed. After a long cold night of only seeing crew trucks and distant lights there persistence paid off. The cast asked their driver to stop their car and they went over to Allie’s group.

“And believe it or not… Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Kristen Stewart (Bella), and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) in full hair and make up got out of the van! Peter said, “We just have to get out and give you girls hugs for waiting all this time!” Hugs all around. Kristen asked Amy how long we’d been there, and Amy said “10 minutes” at first and then eventually told her the truth. Nikki was just beaming… she looked great and her new wig looked amazing.”

We just want to say hat’s off to Vancity Allie for some great reporting while being respectful of the cast and crew.

Vampires Are Done Filming?

It seems like Kellan Lutz made an off-handed comment that might indicate that the vampires will be done filming in Vancouver shortly. Given that the majority of the Cullens are only present in the very beginning and the very end of the novel, the story seems probable. Given the re-arrival of Edi Gathegi and Rachelle Lefevere and since Cristian Serratos on her blog confirmed that the humans are also done filming, it looks like filming is clipping along at a productive and efficient pace. Also, since New Moon has a lot more interiors than Twilight, and the vampires are less in it, its far less weather dependent.

This also means that they are free for other projects such as PR appearances at film festivals, or shooting schedules of other features.

Twilight Tourists Hit Portland

According to the TDN, a large number of people have been visiting Kalama HS. Kalama is where the infamous parking lot crash was shot. Kalama’s gym was also the site of the volleyball game, and their weight room was turned into Bella’s hospital room.

“It’s just a daily thing now since the DVD came out,” said Kalama School Superintendent Jim Sutton. “About 15 to 20 people visited the parking lot each day last week while students were on spring break. Generally, they come in groups. They take turns staging themselves in the same spot as the actors in the film. They’re definitely some serious fans.”

New Set Photos

There are a collection of photos taken yesterday and today of the actors at the high school set location.

All shot were taken from the roped off public viewing area.
