Following the brief snippet we saw at the Superbowl, there’s now a full trailer available. Airbender opens right after Eclipse. Given that Eclipse should have some major Jasper moments, July is going to be a great month for Jackson!

Last Airbender Superbowl Spot

Look for Jackson Rathbone at the.08 mark. Not 100% positive, but we think Jackson is also featured at the .23 mark fighting using the water element. Confirmed as not Jackson at .23 mark.

Twilight Stars Lend Voices to One Campaign

Jackson Rathbone, Ashely Greene, and Kellan Lutz all took part in raising awareness to fight global poverty and preventable disease — specifically in Africa.

According to MTV’s Hollywood Crush, “The goal of the campaign is to recruit more young people in the battle against poverty. “In the last election, and over the course of history, young people have shown that when we get organized and committed, we are powerful. The fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease in poor countries needs our support, our energy and our commitment,” Ashley told ONE.”

Twilight Saga Stars Other Projects on the Horizon

So out of these, which one are you looking forward to the most?

Jackson Rathbone in Dread.

“Rathbone describes Dread as a Kinsey-esque study of fear. “It has those base elements: What are you afraid of? Why are those urban legends urban legends? Why are they told over and over again? Because, those ideas are scary. There have been many documented cases of a complete stranger murdering many people and getting away with it and no one ever knowing why. It’s very rare that you’ll find a film or a piece of literature that delves into the mind of someone that’s been affected by that and what they do to get over it. We all have something in our lives that causes that dread, that inspired it and that’s kind of what we’re trying to get to the root of in this film. Barker’s story did it with such lyrical prose. It’s just beautiful and the imagery is haunting, it really is. We filmed scenes that just made a lot of people sick. Not just because of the gruesome element, but the idea of those situations where you’re like, ‘Yeah, if I was in that situation what would I do?’ And you know what you do a lot of times and you just wouldn’t ever want to think about it.”

Anna Kendrick in Up In The Air

“Q: What did you enjoy most about your character, Natalie?

Anna: I love that she’s unapologetically ambitious. I don’t have that and I wouldn’t really want that for myself, but I admire it so much, in her. I love that she’s independent and strong. I know that the audience really falls for her, after she completely melts down, and I love her even when she’s in her bratty mode. There was almost a desire for me to not show as much as Jason [Reitman] wanted me to show, and keep her protected and not give as much away because I feel protective of her and I wanted her to maintain her dignity. I love her, even when she’s a nightmare… I think she’s a control freak, and I think I’m a control freak, but we react to being out of our element in very different ways. I get more awkward and I fumble and things immediately fall apart. And, Natalie’s rigidity and self-awareness increases exponentially, when she feels out of control. She tries to cling to anything that she can control or keep orderly, whether it’s her hair or her computer. It makes for some very interesting comedy.”

Fansite Interview: Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, And Nikki Reed

About 10 different Twilight fansites had a phone interview with Kellan, Nikki, and Jackson. The questions are from the following websites: Twilight Examiner, Twilight Series Theories, Twilight Facebook, Twilight Moms, His Golden Eyes, Twilighters, Twilighters Anonymous, Twilight Superfan, Twilight Source/Imprint, Bella and Edward.

Q. How do you think, the questions are all ‘New Moon’ focused so I’m going to get right into it, how do you think Rosalie in ‘New Moon’ is going to be different from Rosalie in ‘Twilight’? Are we going to see more of Rosalie’s other side?
Nikki: The Cullens aren’t really in ‘New Moon’ as I’m sure you guys know because of the books and Chris Weitz making it very clear that we’re going to stick to the storyline. So, we’re not really in ‘New Moon’ all that much, but I did have an opportunity in the voting scene to show a different aspect of her personality, just because we were sort of setting up for ‘Eclipse’, because that’s really my opportunity to explore Rosalie as a character. So I guess, I guess in the voting scene, I worked really close with Chris to make sure that the speech that I give conveys exactly what I want it to. I don’t know if that answers your question, I’m sorry.
[No, no; yeah.]
Nikki:
It’s been a long day. I think that when you have eight hundred pages in a book you have the time to explore each character, and so although Stephenie didn’t write one –dimensional characters, I mean all of our characters are very full and colorful; when you’re trying to execute that in a screenplay it can be really difficult because they have to focus on the love story between Bella and Edward. So in ‘Twilight’, you know, Rosalie was written, I guess the few opportunities I had to be on screen I was angry or bitchy and I don’t think that that’s what Rosalie is. So I’ve been trying my best to incorporate other aspects of her personality.

Q. Following up on what you said about incorporating the different aspects of her personality, where do you find your inspiration to portray a character that is in some senses somewhat of an unlikeable character, but she has that other you know, really human side to her? Where do you find your inspiration to bring out some of that from?

Nikki: I think, I guess years of exploring my own personality in terms of understanding that most of the time anger is actually just a way to hide insecurities or you know, fear or sadness. And so I knew, I knew immediately sort of where Rosalie was coming from and I also have two siblings that I’m very protective of, two brothers. So I guess it sort of stems from that.

Q: Can you tell me how much the atmosphere, the overall atmosphere and work style has changed from Catherine Hardwicke to Chris Weitz?

Kellan: I think they’re very much just different directors. And Catherine’s energy was very prominent and needed in a way to start the ‘Twilight’ franchise and get it off the ground. And with ‘New Moon’ it’s a different type of style in the book, which means the movie’s got to be a different style. And Chris was, had it all just prepared for us actors to step in there, he made us a packet of pages and papers on how he saw the scenes, and just really had everything organized. So when we had questions as actors he had the answers ready and it was very just in both cases just different. It was just such a well oiled machine with ‘New Moon’ and just very easy.
Q. What was your favorite scene to film in ‘New Moon’?
Jackson: I’ve got to say my favorite scene to film was in the trailer and you got to see a glimpse of it. And that wasn’t even quite the entire scene so hopefully you know, people are still going to be surprised by the scene of the birthday party whenever. In my mind it’s kind of the catalyst for the entire idea of ‘New Moon’, and the Cullens kind of getting out of Dodge, if you excuse my tongue there. It’s kind of the idea that you know, finally Bella is really having to face the idea of what it is to be in a relationship with a vampire and the downside of it you know, what happens when you get something as simple as a paper cut and how that can screw everything up. And suddenly the Cullens are gone and we take off in order to protect Bella and it’s one of those things where she doesn’t really feel protected, she feels abandoned, but luckily she’s got her good friend, Jacob Black, who starts to become a little bit more than just a good friend. You see that whole side of things, the wolf boys.

Twilight Cast In UK Glamour

Who says the US fans get all the fun? Looks like the UK just struck gold with the December UK edition of Glamour. Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone talk about relationships, soul mates, and then there are the photos.

“Ashley on soulmates: “Gosh, I hope so. I’m a strong believer in chemistry [too]. It has nothing to do with what you want, just how your chemicals react with each other.”

Jackson on love and lust: “Lust tastes like tequila and love tastes like whiskey. Love burns for longer and warms you up on the inside and sometimes it makes you do stupid things. Tequila just makes you wasted”

Check out the rest on Just Jared, and bribe someone in the UK to send you a copy!

100 Monkeys: The Photographer’s View

The Jackson Rathbone oriented site, I Felt Hope, has secured an interview (not to mention some amazing pictures where we are respecting the request not to cross post) with Phoenix Taylor. He is a rising star in the photography world. He has covered numerous subjects including Jackson and the band as well as Jackson’s sister, and fellow visual artist, Kelly.

“You spent some time with 100 Monkey’s recently during Twicon. Describe what that experience was like especially from a photographer’s point of view.
In one paragraph of an interview? Yeah right! I will have to say, I spent almost 8 days with the 100 Monkeys and I would relive those days everyday again and again, like Groundhogs Day, for the rest of my life.
Well… maybe that is too much. But, you get the idea. There was not a moment with them, living with them, working with them, seeing them with their fans, cooking with Uncle Larry (barely) and just chilling with them that was not an amazing experience. I can not stress enough the amount of character the band has, let alone Jackson Rathbone! And, I know that is who people want to know about. The man was born for great things… from his music, to his acting and to his character as a human being. I don’t think I have met a man that could have more of a chip on his shoulder and yet there is absolutely NONE to be found! And, that alone speaks volumes about these guys!”

I was welcomed in as one of them, asked my opinions, heard and then released to seek out my vision for the band and they did everything they could to be what I needed them to be… which ironically, was just themselves!

See the rest on I Felt Hope.
