The New York Beauty Examiner was able to ask Jodelle Ferland a few questions:
“I understand that right after the news broke that you had joined the Twilight family, fans went crazy and you got some intense reactions from your friends. Has the hype died down at all for you?
Yeah. I mean at first everybody was going crazy and everyone was congratulating me. They’re still all really excited and it hasn’t…no, they haven’t calmed down that much. *laughs* I have a Twitter account, and that hasn’t calmed down at all, I’m still getting the same amount of followers. Everyday. On the first couple of days I was getting A LOT, and now its not quite as many everyday. But it’s been about the same pace. My friends have calmed down a little bit, but they are still really really really excited.”

Jodelle Ferlan Confirms Casting

The fansite that Jodelle Ferlan considers to be her official fansite has the following information:
“Its official! Jodelle has been cast in the Twilight Saga, The 3rd Film, Eclipse! she will playing The Newborn Vampire! We are really excited for her. How so many of you had petitioned for Jodelle to be cast as Jane, and now she gets to work alongside the cast and Dakota Fanning who was cast as Jane for New Moon. AND…It doesnt stop there, Jodelle has also been cast in a new film for 2010, called The Cabin In The Woods its a horror movie and you can find more about the film and its cast at IMDB.com Its hoping to be released in February! So.. a Huge Congrats is in order for Jodelle! 2 great projects that we cannot wait to see, Jodelle was super excited about sharing the news about Twilight, and we are pleased as she definately deserved this role. Jodelle Ferland Slated For Eclipse

Variety (who tends to get casting info correct) broke the news that Jodelle Ferland has an upcoming role in Eclipse, but they didn’t name which one. The description reads, “a vampire who has just been turned”.
We’ve put out feelers to determine if she is playing perhaps Maria, Bree, or and unnamed newborn. If the ink isn’t quite dry on the contracts, we may not get confirmation straight away.
Check out her fansite which has a lot of images of Jodelle that are more recent than what is found commonly on the Internet. She looks much older in this headshot dated February of this year than the myriad of other shots around the Internet.
