Twilight Fans Brave the Cold

robOKbafta

It’s one thing to camp out to see the Twilight actors in Los Angeles. Even in November, you don’t have to worry about brutal temperatures and snow. It get to be maybe 50 degrees at night, and given usual weather patterns, even rain is iffy. However camping out for the BAFTAs or for Remember Me requires dedication on a whole new level.

According to OK and reports we grabbed from the RPAtzNewsTwitter fans lined up for the BAFTAs over 24 hours early in brutal 28 degree temperatures. That’s a bit nippy even for the UK. With the Remember Me premiere in New York City a week from today one can only imagine how many will line up all bundled up. Temperatures on a New York City sidewalk in February are going to be daunting at best.

OK Magazine writes:

“Hysterical Twi-hards slept overnight outside the Royal Opera House in London to secure their place alongside the red carpet after learning that four of the film’s stars would attend.

And as the first to arrive, Anna Kendrick received one heck of a reception as she signed posters and photographs.

She was followed by Jamie Campbell Bower, who – after chatting with fans – spent most of his time alongside girlfriend Bonnie Wright.

Kristen Stewart was next to arrive and spent more time with the fans than anyone, making sure she could give out as many autographs as she could.

Last to arrive was Robert Pattinson, who was greeted by screams and chants of: “We want Rob!” coming from the sidelines.

After arriving late, Robert didn’t spend long signing autographs and was quickly ushered inside to take his seat before he could reach the rest of the crowd.”

OK has a great video of the arrivals and fans.

Kristen Stewart Wins BAFTA Rising Star Award

Kristen seemed genuinely stunned and appreciative of the award thanking Twilight fans and her family.

Noel Clarke, last year’s winner who plays Mickey on Dr. Who, was able to talk to Kristen backstage after presenting her with the award. Noel was last year’s winner. Kristen, in keeping with tradition, will most likely present the award to next year’s winner.

Kristen is the first American woman to ever win the award. (Photo gallery here)Since its inception only one other American, Shia Labeouf, has ever received the award.

Bigger Box Office Draw: Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart

Robert_Kristen_kiss

Cinematical evaluates Kristen Stewart’s and Robert Pattinson’s upcoming projects and asks which is the bigger box office draw.

“For all the money the Twilight franchise is making, how much of it actually has to do with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson? This March, exactly one week apart, both Stewart and Pattinson will be releasing a pair of movies that are arguably the biggest since they’ve been wrapped up in all things Twilight. Prior to this, Stewart watched Adventureland gross a measly $16 million, while Pattinson’s Little Ashes didn’t even cross the $500,000 mark. “

It seems to us that they are leaving out one really key factor: good script. If something looks like a snoozer or is too artsy, people will wait for the DVD. Mainstream with a great story and people, in our opinion, will come out. Plus what do you think of the Cinematical assertion that both Rob and Kristen have to get out from under Twilight?

They also were able to talk to Kristen at the press junket and accidentally discovered that it was her co-star Eddie Ramayne, who was a childhood friend of Robert Pattinson’s, who first mentioned Rob to Kristen.

“Kristen Stewart was a pre-“Twilight” 17 years old when she filmed the coming of age drama “The Yellow Handkerchief,” with British actor Eddie Redmayne in New Orleans, a film due out later this month. But the two stars revealed to AccessHollywood.com on Thursday that Kristen learned her first details about her then-upcoming co-star Robert Pattison from Eddie, who turned out to be a R-Patz pal.

“Randomly, at the end of this, you were about to do ‘Twilight,’” Eddie said, turning to his “Handkerchief” co-star Kristen during Access’ interview. “I had known Rob since I was [younger]. So I was like, ‘Yeah! You’re working with my mate Rob!’ You’re like, ‘Really? What’s he like?’ I was like, ‘He’s a good boy.’”

Kristen said although she first attempted to find out more about her “Twilight” co-star from his pal, she realized Eddie’s lips were fairly sealed.

“I sort of got from [Eddie] that they were friends for a long time and he wasn’t going to say anything bad about him. Even if there was something bad, it was just sort of like, ‘Yeah, it’ll be good,’” Kristen laughed.

Eddie confirmed he and his British boys club buddies stick together, a group that includes Eddie, R-Patz and “Vanity Fair” actor Tom Sturridge.”
