Brazilian Press Conference Translation

Team Twilight via TwiFans has a translation of the press confernce that was published in Brazilian papers yesterday.

The character of Robert Pattinson, Edward Cullen, didn’t appear in the book like he appears in the film.

Kristen Stewart – It was a purely creative process. The reason that he appears in the movie more is because it’s basically a personification of Bella’s thoughts. In the book, he talks to her in thought. In the film, we see the illustration of this. He appears in dreams, in subjective ideas of Bella. After all, during almost the whole movie, she has he in mind.

Taylor Lautner – And this needed to happen to establish more strongly the idea of the love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob, that Eclipse is fully evident. Bella really in love with Jacob. And she loves Edward. In Eclipse, the story is basically this triangle. So it’s important that this is very visual, that Edward is visual in New Moon.”

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart Hit Brazil

Foforks, the Brazilian Twilight site, has a write up of Taylor and Kristen’s arrival for the South American press junket. If you toss it through Google or BabelFish for translation (Portuguese-English), you get a pretty cool account of how it went down.

Congrats to Grace and the FoForks staff!

Access Hollywood: Kristen Stewart Behind the Scenes

Kristen Stewart in 17 and Allure

Kristen Stewart has features in both Allure and 17 Magazines. For 17, Kristen is going to be on the cover of their November issue. When asked about what she saw as the “payoff” of being involved in the Twilight movies Kristen said:

“I’m glad to be a part of something that’s actually bigger than me for once. The success of it is the coolest thing ever because I can’t tell you how much it hurts to do something that you feel like you can really learn from — and you feel is an important section of your life that you put everything into — and then nothing, it just never comes out. So the fact that we can share that, that’s why we do this. It’s the coolest thing.”

Allure has outtakes from Kristen’s feature in their upcoming November issue that hits news stands on October 20th.

They have a couple of brief quotes from Kristen.  Speaking about the paparazzi Kristen said, “I want to call their parents and say, ‘Do you know what your child does for a living?’ They need to learn some manners.”

As for how she gets portrayed in the media, “I spend so much of my time guarding against sounding insincere about something that I would die for,” says the actress. “Maybe I’m overcompensating…. I care so much. And it gets reported as the opposite.”

Kristen Stewart Interview Magazine

Interview Magazine caught up with Kristen Stewart for their 40th anniversary issue. The interviewer was Dennis Hopper…yes, THAT, Dennis Hopper! Dennis’ daughter is a big Kristen fan and the interview starts out with the phone converstion and then gets into bigger topics.

“HOPPER: You can’t take walks?

STEWART: I’d like to take more walks after work, instead of having to come back to my hotel room and not leave. So it can be boring. I’ve been working as an actress since I was very young, and I know a lot of people who are actors who don’t have to deal with having a persona . . . You know, if you look up the word persona, it isn’t even real. The whole meaning of the word is that it’s made up, and it’s like I didn’t even get to make up my own. It can be annoying. But I have a really strong feeling that this is going to go away, that this is the most intense it’s going to get—and could get—and that it’s fleeting. So in a few years, I will hopefully become more like the people I want to become like.

HOPPER: Does it bother you to see yourself in the tabloids?

STEWART: There’s nothing you can do about it, to be honest. I don’t leave my hotel room—literally, I don’t. I don’t talk to anybody about my personal life, and maybe that perpetuates it, too. But it’s really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself. That said, the only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn’t go out at all. So that’s what I’m trading. It depends what mood I’m in. Some nights, I think, “You know what? I don’t care. I’m just going to do what I want to do.” Then the next day I think, “Ugh.Now everyone thinks I’m going out to get the attention.” But it’s like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person.”

Get the rest here.

Mullet to the Bob, here’s how.

Kristen Stewart still has her mullet (We’re guessing that she can’t change the style and color because she may yet have some work to do on The Runaways.) but the other night it was pinned up into a chique, faux bob.

In case you were wondering how to duplicate the look, here’s how.

Kristen Stewart Talks to The UK Times

Kristen Stewart gave a frank interview to the Times Online talking about Twilight, Adventureland and her career.

“I think she has a much bigger rack than I have.” Kristen Stewart is pondering her Twilight action figure — the little plastic doll that represents Bella, her character in the film franchise — while checking the proportions of the bust. “I also think she looks much older than me,” she adds, before setting the figure aside. I pick it up and, on closer inspection, the doll does look a little older than its real-life progenitor (as to the “rack”, closer inspection would be inappropriate). “It’s strange,” continues the 19-year-old actress, “but people often think I’m a little bit older than I really am. A French journalist asked me earlier on how my teenage years had affected my later life. I’m still in my teens.” She smiles. “Really, even if I was older, how could my teenage years not have shaped my life? I don’t know how to answer that.”
