Get ready for an extra-special dose of “Breaking Dawn” goods Thursday, November 1, at 8 p.m. ET, when MTV News presents “MTV First: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” an exclusive sit-down with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, during which they will introduce a never-before-seen clip from the film on MTV.
Following the on-air introduction of the exclusive clip, the “Twilight” trio will stick around for a lengthy interview on MTV.com. Fans can get in on the action immediately by submitting video or text questions beginning today via MTV.com or Twitter (@MTVNews, hashtag #AskTwilight).
MTV asked us, Twilight Series Theories and Fangirlish about Robert Pattinson’s recent press tour and Twilight impact. Here’s what Laura had to say:
On the interviews of last week
I’d say that Robert Pattinson conducted himself with a lot of grace under fire with witty comments about breakfast cereal or changed the subject when things were too personal,’ added Laura Byrne Cristiano, owner of TwilightLexicon.com. ‘He’s still happy to talk about his films, and that’s what we really want long-term.’
On Breaking Dawn press
Byrne Cristiano said she hopes Pattinson reveals a few details about the book-to-screen adaptation and what he might have added to the story or role himself.
‘I really want him to talk about the changes from novel to screenplay and how big of an adjustment it might have been [and] did he have any input,’ she said. ‘Also looking back on the four-year roller-coaster ride, what did he enjoy the most overall and why.’

MTV First sat down with Robert Pattinson to discuss Cosmopolis. The interview started off with a round of “Have you ever…” questions for Rob. As for the rest of the interview, we have to give a round of applause to Josh Horowitz for being ultra professional and very respectful by keeping the discussion on track and away from Rob’s personal life.

MTV has gone to Twitter for their Twilight Tuesdays this week. Social media sites were a buzz with news about the solar eclipse and MTV found a great way to tie it in with Twilight.
“Just because there’s a lack of “Twilight”-themed videos and interviews doesn’t mean the very dedicated fanbase stops talking about their favorite franchise. And never underestimate the ability of a “Twilight” fan to bring up the subject in any conversation, particularly when said conversation involves a natural phenomenon that ties into Stephenie Meyer’s fantastical world.”
@LordVoldemort (one of Alphie’s favorites on twitter) had this to say: “Twilight fans, I hear if you look at the #eclipse tonight you’ll see vampires and werewolves frolicking. Or go blind. Whichever.”
And Dan Munz included the image below with his tweet, which is something Many Twilight fans have been joking about for a while now. “Wow, this eclipse is truly stunning. I can even make out a bit of twilight on the edge.”

The Twilight Saga has had a strong presence at the MTV movie awards over the last few years. But this year changes things. Breaking Dawn Pt 1 is only nominated in two categories: Best Kiss and Movie of the Year. Hunger Games, Deathly Hallows, and Bridesmaids made out with the most noms. In fact, Bridesmaids is almost nominated in every category, an issue that used to be related to The Twilight Saga films. Voting will begin tomorrow and the awards will be given out on June 3.
So let’s hear it, folks. Do you think this is deserving and spot on, or do you feel, as we’re starting to hear on twitter, that it was done because people are tired of The Twilight Saga sweeping the MTV awards? And which of the categories do you think Breaking Dawn Part 1 should have been nominated in: Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance, Best Cast, Best on Screen Transformation, Best Fight, Best Gut-Wrenching Performance, or Best Music?
