First look: The Wolf Pack

USA Today has a first look a the wolf pack (thanks very much). Among wolf pack job requirements: the ability to work half-naked no matter what the weather in the Vancouver, B.C., area, where the film has been shooting for several weeks.

From left to right Alex Meraz (Paul), Chaske Spencer (Sam), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), and Kiowa Gordon (Embry)

****USA Today also just posted this update including how the pack was selected.

“They had to have papers that proved their heritage,” says director Chris Weitz, who was the one who insisted on hiring within the community. “And they had to be in good physical shape.”

ET Gives a Peak at Taylor Lautner

ET has another series of teaser videos up. In one, they claim that one of the biggest things on Robert Pattinson’s mind during the Twilight premiere was that his pants were too tight. Check out the Taylor snippet below.

New Moon Shoots At Local Pool

Both Vancity Allie and Twilight Gossip have coverage of a one-day shoot at a local pool. The assumption is that they used it to film part of the cliff diving scene given the looming presence of green screens that are the size of a small apartment building.

They would then put in the footage they shot almost a month ago of the British Columbia coastline ( reported as South Beach, located near Wickaninnish Beach inside Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and Incinerator Rock at Long Beach) post-production. Both Kristen and Taylor were on the site. There was no reported sign of other members of the wolf pack.

Taylor and Kristen missed attending anything associated with the DVD release because they were off filming the beach portion of the cliff diving scene during some really awful weather.

We really hope they heated the water for Taylor Lautner who came out, wet hair and all, to sign fan autographs.

ET Canada Interviews Cameron Bright

Canadian Cameron Bright will be playing Alec in the New Moon movie. ET Canada caught up with him in what looks like a bowling alley. You get a real sense of the local Canadian accents in the videos.

10 New Moon Scenes That Shouldn’t Be Cut

FearNet has a rundown of the 10 most important scenes to New Moon fans.

“We don’t want to miss one minute of the undead goodness. But if we were forced to make a choice about which 10 scenes make it – say someone was holding a stake to our heart- these are the scenes we absolutely, positively think should be included in the film.”

So do their choices match yours?

ET Dishes Some More

ET ( who gave out the 8 second hint earlier) has now expanded to a bigger video.

You Can’t Make Everybody Happy

A student from David Thompson Secondary School in Vancouver has written a letter to the editor of the Vancouver Sun in which she responds to this article about a fans from Nashville who traveled to Vancouver in the hopes of meeting the cast.

The student talks about the inconvenience of having the film crew around  which created traffic jams in the hallways and in getting to campus.

“It seemed pretty cool at first, but when you mix in the hottest celebrities with a horrible film crew, the school turns into chaos. Closing the cafeteria for two days, taking over the foyer and forcing students to make detours and stop dead in our tracks during our break and lunch because they were filming a big-shot movie was not cool.”

Last year when Twilight was filmed at Kalama High School ( a school in a very small town just outside of Portland) the production company paid a reported $29,500 plus an additional undisclosed sum to the school district.  There is no word on how much money was paid to the David Thompson Secondary School and/or the local school board for the current use of the facility.
