Who Is Attending Comic Con 2011 From Twilight?

So far Summit hasn’t given out their official list yet. If we were betting people (and we are) we’d lay odds on Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Bill Condon. The trio and the director have pretty much been a pattern since the first Comic Con appearance. After that it depends on who has a free schedule, who is in town, etc.

We already know that two Twilight actors are going to be there promoting other projects:

Taylor Lautner will be there to promote Abduction. According to THR:

“The news you’ve all been waiting for: Taylor Lautner is going to Comic-Con.

Sure, we all suspected he was going to be part of the Twilight: Breaking Dawn panel but Lautner will also be on hand to promote his action thriller Abduction. He will be at the Lionsgate booth (#3729 for those of you trying to map out the San Diego Convention Center floor) for a signing Thursday, July 21.”

Kellan Lutz will be there to promote The Immortals (info from Immortals press release):

DATE: Saturday, July 23
1:00pm – 2:00pm: Comic-Con Panel in Hall H
2:30pm – 3:30pm: Official autograph signing at the Convention Center

GUESTS: Henry Cavill, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, Stephen Dorff, Freida Pinto, Mickey Rourke, and producers Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari”

MTV Puts the Sorting Hat on Twilight Actors

MTV is having some fun with its Harry Potter final movie wind up.

“As we contemplate the series’ end, we couldn’t help but wonder how some of our favorite celebrities would have fit into the “Harry Potter” universe. (Can you imagine “Vampire Diaries”‘ Kat Graham going toe-to-toe with Emma Watson?) Hence, our week-long feature, Celebrity Sorting Hat! Each day, we’ll take the cast of a beloved television series or movie and let you decide which Hogwarts house they’d draw.”

So check out today’s list featuring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, and Jackson Rathbone.

Ashton Kutcher and Twilight Comments Punk’d?

In looking at this video (shot in Brazil as part of a TV appearance), it looks like the guy who hosted Punk’d just got Punk’d by his translator. It seems that Ashton isn’t aware that he called Robert Pattinson “a gay vampire”. Spunk Ransom has the translation here. Both Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have been outspoken about using the term “gay” in a manner that is disparaging, so it does seem unlikely that Ashton knew what he was saying. We’re starting to see various entertainment media spinning the story various ways. Looking at the video and the translation, what’s your take?

Chelsea Rendon From A Better Life Is A Twilight Fan

Chelsea Rendon, (pictured far left) who gives a fantastic performance as a girl who future is uncertain because of her gang connected family, wanted to work with Chris Weitz not only because of A Better Life but also because of New Moon.

“18-year-old actress Chelsea Rendon, who plays Luis’s tough-as-nails gang-related girlfriend, also drew on real-life relationships for her role. “I grew up in the East L.A. Montebello area, and I do have family that has been in gangs and has been in jail,” said the high school senior, who graduates on Thursday — a day before A Better Life debuts in limited release.

Still, Twilight fan Rendon was especially excited to land the role for a very specific other reason. “I first heard about [A Better Life] through the Twilight circle, because Chris had mentioned it in a New Moon interview,” she recalled. “I read it and my mom said, ‘Oh, you have an audition for this,’ and I was like, what!? I got all excited. And when I got to the auditions and first met him I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love you so much!’ Then I touched his hand and was like, ‘Oh my God, I technically touched Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in some way or form!’”

(For the record, she’s on Team Switzerland.)

Next Movie: Who is the Best Twilight Dad

The Male Twihard blogger over at Next Movie just did a piece on which Twilight character makes the best dad.

“I am not a father, nor do I even pretend to know how to be a good one. (It involves owning a briefcase and knowing how to throw a baseball back and forth, I believe?)

However, I do know “The Twilight Saga.” So with Father’s Day coming up this weekend, I’m paying tribute to the dads from the series.

But who is the best “Twilight” dad? (Besides all of them?) Allow me to lay out the facts.

Charlie Swan, Carlisle Cullen, Billy Black and (future screen daddy) Edward Cullen are the men under the microscope. While everyone has their own ideas on what makes the best father, I’ve done some in-depth research (thanks, Ask Jeeves!) and these are the qualities most will agree on:

They should be of high integrity, but never high on other things. They should be able to provide for their kids, meaning they need some cash money — Benjamins, if you will. And a father needs to be responsible, offer guidance, and spend quality time with children. These are proven techniques that keep daughters (and sons) off the stripper pole.”

His analysis is tongue-in-cheek and hilarious. Check it out.
