The other day we told you about Bruna who was able to get her photo taken with Stephenie, Rob, and Kristen at the airport. There is now video footage of the encounter. You can see how it’s pretty low-key not a swarm of people, and that Rob and Kristen are really relaxed about the whole thing.

It is official, Stephenie, Robert, and Kristen are all in Brazil. Apparently they were on the same flight a Brazilian fan named Bruna ran into them at the airport.
“…Bruna realized that Kristen was by herself and used the chance to get closer to the actress, “I ran to go talk to her, then she thanked me, gave me a hug and took a picture and everything. Then they were gone, ” she told us. And Bruna was so close to not see Stephenie Meyer! “I was leaving, so then I heard ‘hey, isnt that the woman who wrote the book?’ And when I looked it was Stephenie. I look at her all scared and she laughed. Then I said that I admired her work and she started talking to me.” At the end of our conversation, the brazilian fan said that everyone seemed very happy…”

As is widely being reported in the mainstream Brazilian press, they are staying at the Copacabana which is where every big star who comes to Rio stays, so that information is not exactly a secret. Also there are the Jonas Brothers who are on tour in the area and Ashley Greene who is there traveling with them.
The one person who has not been sighted is Taylor Lautner; however, since they do expect to be filming for a number of days, he may not be needed right away.
Also among the unsighted and probably happily blending in amongst the tourists are fellow producer Wyck Goddfrey and director Bill Condon. Whereas Wyck might have elected not to come along, (though doubtful since he went to Italy) No doubt Bill is there as this venture is certainly not directing itself.
So, Brazilian fans, those non-descript, middle-aged white tourists with glasses that you keep passing by, are probably the director and a producer.
Robert Pattinson a Wagner Fan? And No, We Don’t Mean Opera

Supposedly Robert Pattinson made comments to the UK tabloid the Mirror (which has gotten several Twilight stories wrong in the past so take this for what you will) claiming to be a fan of the hit show The X Factor which is backed by Simon Cowell. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it’s essentially a talent competition for singers that’s run out of the UK. Unlike American Idol, the contestants can be any age, and they have been hand picked by a panel of judges because each one (from countries around the world) has an “X Factor” –that undefinable thing that draws people to them even if they aren’t the most talented, call it charisma, charm, whatever.
Rob’s comments on Wagner and the show were as follows:
“[He is] the sort of guy you’d do a drunken duet with at a family wedding…I love this guy. He doesn’t have the best voice, but he enjoys what he does and I respect him for that…It’s great just to see him wind Simon Cowell up…I really hope Wagner is still in by the final. If filming allows I’ll be there, and I guarantee I’ll be wearing a ‘Vote Wagner’ T-shirt.”

Robert Pattinson Wax Figures Comes to Las Vegas

Earlier this year, we told you about the Robert Pattinson wax figure that debuted at Madame Tussaud’s in New York City. Well, it seems “Rob” is going on the road. According to the Madame Tussaud’s website:
“Brit born A-lister and star of the phenomenally successful Twilight Saga, Robert Pattinson, visits Madame Tussauds Las Vegas for a limited engagement until November 30!

Robert Pattinson Closing The Taft School?

There’s a long standing tradition at The Taft School in Baton Rogue Connecticut (but the video was filmed outside Baton Rogue) of having a headmaster holiday. It dates back to when President William Howard Taft was being sworn in and his son wanted to be there. You can read about it on their website.
Anyway, each year the headmaster tries to find a creative way of letting the kids know that they are having this holiday which amounts to a day off. Call it a mental health break.
Well actor/director/producer Peter Berg who is a grad of the school got Robert Pattinson involved in this year’s headmaster holiday announcement. No clue what the headmaster is ever going to do to top this one.

New Comic: Twilight Connection or PR Ploy?

The PR team of the newest installment of the DC Comic Superman has been talking about the newest incarnation of Superman has a look closer to Edward Cullen in Twilight (as portrayed by Robert Pattinson) than Christopher Reeve in the movies of the 1980’s.
When we first saw the graphics (see graphic at left), there was definitely a Robert Pattinson semblance, but after seeing more on Moviefone, we were left wondering if it was a one graphic fluke.

Robert Pattinson Never Turned Down Simon Cowell

This is the rumor that won’t die. Apparently the Sun (you remember the paper that has at various times reported that Rob and Kristen were married, pregnant, Kristen was seeing Tom Sturridge…need I go on) reported that Robert Pattinson had a discussion with the UK’s biggest music promoter, Simon Cowell. Yes that Simon Cowell of American Idol fame.
Wild surprise, we know, MTV checked out the story with Robert Pattinson’s manager and was told that there is no truth to the story. In fact the two have had no discussion at all.
“However, when MTV News reached out to Robert’s management for comment, we were told there was no truth to this story. It’s just “another headline generated by the internet,” his manager wrote in an email.”
Despite MTV’s Hollywood Crush debunking the rumor over 24 hours ago, that hasn’t stopped some major media from picking up on the story and incorrectly reporting it.
