Billy Burke Joins Twitter

Billy Burke has officially joined the ranks of Twilight stars who Twitter.

And for all you IPhone users, just like Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke will soon have his own IPhone app. designed by the same peopel who designed Peter’s.

We started (hopefully) a Twitter Trend. I think it is a fair bet that we speak for most of the fandom when we say FINALLY…FINALLY Bella and Edward say those three magic words, I LOVE YOU. From the bottom of our hearts Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to Chris Weitz for not cutting those words.

To this day, the most popular movie question that hits our inbox regarding the Twilight movie is why did Bella and Edward not say “I love you” to each other. Fans may disagree on a lot of things in regards to the Twilight movie, but from our experience, pretty much everyone missed the fact that Bella and Edward didn’t say I Love You to each other.

So for those of you on Twitter get out there and get tweeting. Let’s see the power of Twilight Rock Twitter.

Here are a listing of the real Twitters
relating to the Twilight Saga

The Twitters supposedly run by Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed are all fakes. Ways to tell: mislabeling of photos stating where & when the pics were taken, Tweeting while clearly performing , all created around the same date, claiming they are posting personal photos when in reality are actually recycled paparazzi shots, official sites of actors don’t list a Twitter, etc.

Michael Sheen Says Goodbye to Vancouver

Once he was safely in Vancouver airport, Michael Sheen Tweeted away his farewell to the city, and snapped a photo of one of the interesting pieces of art in the airport.

“To London! And dont spare the horses!”

and

“And so i bid a fond farewell to Vancouver. Its been epic, lush, choc and sound as a pound. Van – you are the Man. See you soon.”

Jamie Campbell Bower has been Tweeting too, but to be honest we’re not really sure who he’s quoting.

New Moon Twitter and Facebook Roundup

First up Michael Sheen wins for the funniest comments:

“Met Stephenie yesterday on the set. She was charming and enthusiastic and very positive. Keep forgetting how freaky i look with my red eyes”

“i think Dakota may look the most unsettling though. So angelic yet so weird. As Jane that is of course. like an evil red riding hood.”

Melissa Rosenberg, who the other day spoke about David Slade, now talks about Chris Weitz:

“Writing from the set of New Moon, a ridiculously happy place to be. Everyone is having a gas. Especially me. You’d expect at least one person to be snarky after working so hard for so long but I haven’t heard a single sour note.

Chris Weitz is the zen ringmaster doing a fantastic job. The Volturi look amaaaazing. Michael Sheen embodies Aro so completely, elevating the role to a whole new level. Dakota as Jane knocks me out. Rob and Kristen are gorgeous of course and and and… I probably shouldn’t gush so much, no one will believe that everything is perfect but it is!”

Kellan Lutz On Italy and David Slade

Also of note in the video is that Kellan addresses fake Twitters and states that he doesn’t have one for fans. For weeks we’ve been seeing fans sucked in on various accounts on Twitter where they are thinking they are talking to the real Kellan Lutz. One is actually a pretty good fake that tweets with a pretty creative fake Ashley Greene account. How do we know they are fake? Tweeting while the real Ashley was physically on planes, on stage at a charity presentation, and the fake Ashley account falsely stating that real Ashley doesn’t have an MySpace when in fact she does.

To date the only two members of the Twilight Saga movies who have accounts that they use to speak to fans with are Jamie Campbell Bower and Michael Sheen.

Edited: Interesting how immediately after this footage was released that the fake Ashley account suddenly was deleted.

Twilight Teens Don’t Twitter

We were pretty baffled by this article. We have over 3,000(well looks like we went up a lot recently) 4,000 people following our Twitter, many of them are teens. After a quick glance at the fake Stephenie Meyer Twitter, it’s obvious that a lot of those being duped (a staggering 29,000) are teens.

There are even more teens sucked in by multiple fake Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz accounts. It seems to us a better question might be: “How to help teens determine an authentic Twitter.” not “Would Teens Twitter for Twilight?”

So, just to check if we are way off-base on this one, we have a couple of questions:

Do you Twiiter?
Do you follow us on Twitter?
Who besides friends do you follow on Twitter?

Twilight Twitter 411

So, because there still seems to be so much confusion on who has a Twitter and who doesn’t, we thought we’d give you a run down:

The only public Twitter accounts that we can confirm as real are as follows:

Jamie Campbell Bower

Michael Sheen Michael just put up a series of photos (like 12 of them, one featured at the left) check them out.

There are a ton of fake, Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Stephenie Meyer accounts. Be skeptical of supposed real accounts, here’s a couple easy ways tell when they are real or fake:

Photos are only of official PR shots
Tweets happen while actual filming is taking place. 2/3 of the supposed Rob and Kristen accounts send tweets when they are actually on set.
If a star has a real account that they have not disclosed to the public, their Tweets are most likely locked because it would be a PR nightmare otherwise. The likelihood of them friending someone they have never met to see private tweets is slim to none.
Check the stars official websites and interviews, and see if they mention their official twitters, MySpaces, Facebooks.
Check what accounts they are following. chances are they are not just following the accounts of fellow castmates, they do have other friends.

The phenomena isn’t limited to Twilight stars. Aparently someone has just faked a Kaleb Nation account too. Kaleb just did a great story on how over 26,000 people have been fooled into friending a fake Stephenie Meyer account when clearly right on Stephenie’s own website she lists her only avenues of connecting with the public: MySpace, Twight Saga website (official run by her publisher), and StephenieMeyer.com.

Here is the correct Kaleb Nation account, and here is the correct Twilight Lexicon account.
